I am not a mind-reader. If I do something that bothers you, tell me. Don't constantly complain about it to the other roomies behind my back and expect me to know what's wrong.

Two:
Roommate B. What brought this on?
Me: *comes home from school*
You: "How was school?"
Me: "It was okay." (Really. All we did was do research for our finals, and nothing really happened.)
You: *launches into a talk about how I'm "ungrateful" to be attending school and living with you guys.*
Ummm....no, seriously, where did that come from?

Hey, I'm new to the group. I'm 27 and I'm in NJ. My roommate isn't the worst person ever. In fact as a person and outside of the apartment I think he's a cool guy. In terms of a roommate.. I hate him.

DUDES I have been so excited wanting to post this all week! Okay, so, Gary is trying to get his deposit back. The problem is, his landlord is *whispers* just a little crazy. I don't know if it's true or not, but it is hilarious! (Do I need to cut since this is tiny?)

I just got pointed to this community, and I've got a couple really awesome (read: not) stories from roommates over the years... ( As a starter, I thought I'd post one of my favorite utterly gross and disgusting stories about my bipolar ex-roommate who really enjoyed not taking her meds. (NSFW - graphic squalor) )

Two words: bubonic plague.

I've got a bunch of posts in my journal from the past 2+ years of living with my former roommates. It was supposed to be a commune situation, but it didn't quite work out that way. I finally broke from them about two months ago, but didn't discover this community until after.

Should i edit them to reflect the past-tense nature, or would you guys be alright with just a note at the bottom?

She ran out of food again this morning. I'm not buying more. She's your cat, not mine. So...

I apologise for any repetetiveness. I'm just fed-up.
I've barely posted here before, either. My housemates aren't nearly as bad as most I've read about and I expect sometimes I'm bloody annoying too, but just occasionally..
I need to rant before I talk to them. It lets off steam so the chat stays civilised...
Bah.

My roommate has been (well, claims to have been) looking for work since he moved in last Sept. I knew that it would be difficult for him to find something. He's diagnosed narcoleptic, so can't drive, and he has a heart condition so he can't get a job involving heavy lifting, and he doesn't have a degree.

Thank you for NOT specifying in the lease that I can only have one guest over at a time. And thank you for informing of this one day before two friends of mine drive three hours to visit me in order to go to a concert.

I used to live in some cheap garden apartments near my undergrad. Utilities were included, rent was low, the rooms were big, and we were close to campus. Aside from living in the middle of redneckville, it was perfect...ish.
