Hugh Laurie's partner in crime back in England has admitted to illegally downloading the season finale via Bittorrent because he wasn't able to obtain a legal copy of the time. He admitted that this was the last thing that he downloaded illegally while he was in Indonesia.
Just a little fun tidbit, and I find the picture of Stephen Fry hunched over his computer while watching Both Sides Now kinda amusing.
I rewatched three different Season 4 episodes today, one being It's a Wonderful Lie and I noticed when House entered the clinic exam room, he did not wash his hands. Now I'm not going to go back and watch every clinic scene we've seen with House over the series but I gotta ask did he ever wash his hands in any of the clinic scenes?
I'm nitpicking and I know this isn't reality but every doctor I have ever been to the first thing they do when they come into an exam room (well after saying hello) is wash their hands.

Quite a few of the guest stars alternate between BL and House. But this one threw me. Alan Shore had a wife in The Practice who he adored. The only mention of her in BL is when he mentions he loved her for her insight and that she died.
I was scrounging around You tube seeking The Practice (as I have never watched the show) and I found this:

Okay I thought I had watched most if not all of Season 4 but I decided to start through the episodes tonight to be sure I have seen them all and I started with 4x02 because I knew I had most certainly seen 4x01.
( Spoilers only if you've not seen this episode yet! )(Btw, there is a planned one hour maintenance on Twitter at 8p Pacific Time tonight, Friday, in case you check the link during that hour.)

This is the final spurt: We will be collecting donations till Hugh´s birthday on June 11 and there are still lots of creative people waiting to be bid on here. There´s art and there are stories and other fancy things, so just go and have a look. Of course you can also donate without grabbing a creative goodie.
So far we´re at 39% of our goal of collecting $5000 for Save the Children.
In our F.A.Q we´ve listed different possibilities to donate. The fastest is over here at our donation page.
We´re dependent on you and your enthusiasm for spreading the word to make this little drive successful.

House Season Five: What a Doozy!

Wilson leaving, Wilson coming back, lost babies, found babies, Death Cat, endless Fourteen touchy feely moments, unexpected job offers, the killer bachelor party, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
And I say this with all the love in the world...

This has been pimped in various communities all over the House fandom and now we come to what is probably the biggest English speaking community on LJ.
Inspired by the stellar success of the
In raising money for Save the Children, we want to give the fans and ourselves the opportunity to celebrate Hugh Laurie´s 50th birthday on 11th June, 2009.
There are several ways to participate: by donating or by engaging creatively.
You can knit, record a video of yourself dancing, write a meta, make a fanvid, write a fanfic or a poem or an ode to Hugh´s chin if you must, draw pictures, make other graphics (to promote the drive or for others to put on their cafepress shirts - uh, I´d love to have some of those), record a podfic, code a webpage or journal layout, photomaipulate, create a fanmix, play a song on your guitar and offer it as a mp3. ANYTHING you can think of that other people would donate for. But please note, that this is not an auction and we won´t interfere or control what you and the donor agree upon. You make the rules.
You can find out more about the project and the cause over here.
You can sign up to creatively participate over here.
You can also donate directly, click here.
You are awesome. You are!
We invite you to spread the word or just come over to flail and discuss about Hugh and the show.
If you have questions, just ask us.
I've officially opened my new community,

Alison Graham, the Radio Times lady, is a big House fan and says that she hopes Hugh will be asked about Stephen Fry guest-starring on House - well done that woman XD
She also says that Sky1 have bought House and will be showing it starting next week, and that FIVE have dropped the show! That means that anyone without access to Sky1 (for which you have to pay) will be stuck. Oh well, the US DVD boxset is out soonish (August, I think) - goodness knows when we'll get a UK release.
ETA: Apparently Jonathan Ross has Twittered that Hugh's schedule has changed and he won't be able to make it after all, but looking at the Radio Times website it still has him listed as on the show. Aargh.
The one I'm really thinking of is patient names. We've had probably a dozen Jeffs -- the dad from Cursed, the patient in

As many of us will be watching or re-watching the series on Sky 1, and would like to have people to squee about it with, I am considering starting a community for those of us in the UK watching House S5.
What do people think?
Edit: Thanks for the great response guys! House_Europe is ago! I am looking for some help with graphics, though. Namely someone to make/edit a decent LJ layout, and possibly a banner.
Any takers?

As outlined in the community info, the Whiteboard for your respective area is where all your random, squeeish thoughts are to be posted as the episode plays.
In addition, please refrain from posting episode reactions to anything but the Whiteboard for the three hour block of time between the eastern and pacific airings. If you make a post about the episode in your personal journal, link to it in a reply to this Whiteboard, and I will add the link to this entry.
Have a happy hiatus!
Oh and while it's probably too late for many, the episode is scheduled to run one minute over. (I tried to adjust my DVR but it already began recording.)

I'm new to the community.
Just got into House from sitting with my mom about a month ago and watching the mini-marathons of House that USA has every night.
I just got an iTunes gift card for $15, and I want to buy some good House episodes - can anyone recommend their faves for me to download?
I'm a fan of the House/Wilson dynamic (No, I'm not slashy.) And basically if there's any tender House, that would be nice too.
Just downloaded Needle In A Haystack, and that's all I got so far.
Thanks, all!

There was a full post in one of these lovely House fandom communities of the HQ photos from this shoot... I'm not sure which, but... yeah. All I need to know is WHEN the shoot took place. I'm clawing my eyes out looking through the communities, and can't seem to find the post (or anywhere else, for that matter), and I don't expect anyone to link me to the post (unless you just have it handy, in which case I'd adore you), but a date would be FABULOUS.
Thanks a lot!

Please Note: I know I really don’t need to tell you but let’s keep in mind that this is a general “House, M.D.” community - NOT a shipping one so of course there will be varying opinions on the events taking place. There are many great communities out there that may fit your shipping preferences so feel free to ask for a link if you’re not already a member. Thanks!

I'm looking for a graphic I saw a while ago. It was just House's head and all these rainbow colours coming out of it and said "Treat for sarcoidosis. Do an MRI" like LOLcat style.
Does anyone have this or know where to grab it?
(I tried capslock_house, but that's not the place. And I can't seem to find it on google.)
But hey, this is a non- swine flue panic attack! Small favors. (A school near us shut down today, and my son came home from school with the news that the community college he attends may shut down for two weeks. I need a HOUSE call. Seriously.)

For those of you who don't know, Kal Penn was in a little film called The Namesake in 2006. It's the story of a name, of the family behind the name and of the amazing journey that one family take from India to America and back again. Most people seem to disregard it as a low-budget, fairly insignificant production but it completely captured my heart and made me squee.
For those of you who are Kal Penn fans out there, his character isn't that far away from Kutner. Also, we get partial nudity, sexings, kissing, crying, sobbing, anger, joy and marriage and divorce. He's an amazing actor with a completely expressive face.
Part 1 of the Epic!Namesake!Pic!Spam can be found over at my journal

And as a bonus, four clips for Monday's episode (but you don't have to click on them if you want to stay unspoiled).

The House fandom is a little different. We are fully aware that the producers of the show keep an eye on our activities. They gauge trends by us, they edit plotlines around us and they drop references that have us squeeing like schizophrenics whose hallucinations have not only answered them back but validated their insanity with pop-tarts. Arguably, more and more fandoms are witnessing this growing phenomenon.

EDIT: Okay, they exist. Now I can be happy when I move (seriously, I almost considered not moving to Japan because they wouldn't have House). Now where can I buy a box set? Since it's 4th quarter, we do nothing but watch Japanese videos.
