Time for a big update! As many of you have noticed or read about on the front page of the website, I have been out of commission for almost a month. We moved from an apartment to a cute little 1950's house back on May 15th. A dream come true! Little did we know that getting internet access in the new house would turn out to be a total nightmare....

requieminblack 		Ola! I've lost weight and can no longer fit most of my clothes. I am selling things I thought I would never let go. All were my personal clothes, not stock from the website. Most are size Medium and Large but there are some XL's in there too. Mostly older House of Vamp styles/samples I made for myself. Prices are negotiable.

requieminblack 		I just got in some gorgeous new jewelry from El Dorado today and just finished getting it up on the website. I am thrilled with their new collection! This is just a teaser, I will have more new designs coming in later this summer.

I also wanted to let you guys know the Beetlejuice shrugs are back in stock in all sizes. I only was able to get enough of the stripy skull fabric to make this one last batch so after these there won't be any more.

requieminblack 		Happy spring! I have a lot of new stuff in stock, and more on the way. I have a new dress from Rock Steady, a new t-shirt from Lucky 13, some new jewelry from Zad, and new pencil skirt and matching cami top made in a fun sugar skull print.

I also wanted to let you guys know that I added the SHOE section back onto the website. It's mostly the same Demonia ones I had before but I added a few new styles to the list. Shoes are dropped shipped directly from Demonia, and they sadly do not offer shipping outside the US. So shoes are only available to ship to US addresses.

6:25 pm - Hot Rod Voodoo update

requieminblack 		It's been a while since I have updated ye olde blog. I have a lot of new stock in for Spring and tons of great stuff on order for summer delivery from Lucky 13, Rock Steady and Sourpuss. I've also brought back some of my designs from last summer like the Franken-Tiki pencil skirt and Franken-Luau top which now comes in black/green or black/red. I also brought back the Cherry Delux skirt. It was not a great seller, but *I* like it a lot. And I still have a ton of the cherry print fabric here I need to use up, lol. So back on the website it goes.

I added a few of my cami tops to the site and I have several new items in from Sourpuss. (t-shirt, purse, jewelry)

2:38 pm - Help! I'm drowning in petticoats and purses!

requieminblack 		This year I ordered a ton of petticoats since I never seem to have enough of them in stock for the holidays. So now I am drowning in them! Please help me lessen my pretty fluffy mountain of floofy skirts! I also have a bunch of extra Demonia purses for sale.

And just cause I love you guys, I am offering them at 25% off the retail price for those of you in the [info]hotrod_voodoo community. :)

Shipping price depends on where you are and what you want to buy. Within the US shipping is $5 for anything. Outside the US, the tulle petticoats can not fit in the flat rate international priority mailer and have to go regular by weight priority mail which usually runs around $20 to anywhere in Europe/UK/Australia. The chiffon pettis and the skirt I can cram in the flat rate mailer which is $11. If you are in Canada let me know and I'll look up the shipping for you. :)

1:30 am - New Clothing at Hot Rod Voodoo

requieminblack 		I just got in a shipment of some new clothing...a little bit different than my usual Rockabilly/Goth styles I tend to stick with. I got a few retro 40s/50's dresses and a jacket and two skirts are a little more on the Steampunk side. I love all of the new stuff, hope some of you do to. :)

The fabric is thick sweatshirt fleece. The inside of the fabric is fluffy snuggly and warm. It's trimmed in black satin pleated ruffle and lace. The cuffs are trimmed with black 5" wide stretch lace. As requested by many folks I made these without the mega puff sleeves, but I did add a tiny amount of gathers at the sleeve cap for decoration. (Victorian styles just need a little puff) I found more of the pretty black bead and sequins appliques so I can make many more of these. Yea! I have a P/S, M/L, XL and a 2XL all made up and ready to ship. They are up on the site here for $58.00.

requieminblack 		The new pin striped shrugs are done. I really like how these ones turned out!

Fabric is a charcoal gray cotton knit with white pin stripes. Closes with a black pvc buckle and decorated with a hand cut black pvc heart stitched in metallic silver thread. Sleeves have pretty black 6" wide stretch lace cuffs. Like the other shrugs, I only had enough of the fabric to make four of them. I have a P/S, M/L, XL and a 2XL. Going up on the website for $42. I am going to also make a solid black warm fleece version of this shrug next week after I finish making them.

requieminblack 		I've been a very busy bee this week. I've decided to dig up and use some of my most horded treasured fabrics and trims to create a few unique shrugs this year. Each style is a limited edition- I am only making four to six of each style. So, Shrug-a-poloza has begun, lol. So far I have these finished and ready to ship-


Sugar and Spice Shrug


I call this one the Sugar and Spice shrug because of the pretty cream and gingerbread colored stripes. Very Steampunk in style, this one has big 1890's style mutton sleeves. It is made out of a thicker cotton thermal with pretty beige double lace ruffle trim around the shrug and sleeve cuffs. The upper arm features a lovely scrap of authentic Victorian irish lace. Any discoloration on there is the real deal made over 100 years ago. I have sizes P/S, M/L, and 2XL in stock ready to ship. (XL already sold) Retails for $48.00



This shrug matches the Voodoo Heart dress I make beautifully. It is made from a soft but thin cotton/silk knit. This one has slightly belled sleeves trimmed in black organza baby ruffle. The heart applique is handmade out of red crushed velvet. I only have two of these left, one in P/S and a 2XL. (M/L and XL already sold) Retails for $36.00

I am working on a dark gray pin striped shrug and a solid black fleece one, both with lots of pretty black lace trim. I should have them finished next week. :)

I have collected a lot of lovely custom-made (and other) clothing over the past few years, and sadly must admit that I have really nowhere to wear them and they must go away from me. A lot of them are delectable former House of Vamp/Hot Rod Voodoo pieces! All are size XL, with one or two that could be 1X-2X, and fit on measurements of Bust 42, Waist 34, Hip 50 (just to give you a base guide). All shoes are 8-8.5 US.

I have cats. They are fluffy. I lint roll everything before sending, but there may be a stray hair or two.

PayPal ONLY to costuminatrix at hotmail dot com. Shipping is Priority, so will be around $6-10 depending on the item (shoes are heavier to ship). EDIT: If you are not in the US, we may be able to work something out, but shipping will probably be expensive...I feel bad about that, but the postal service has really jumped their prices in the past couple years. First come first serve, no holds.

I have 100% positive feedback on eBay as "costuminatrix."

requieminblack 		Hello! Today I went through the giant box of stock I have sitting in my bedroom that is just taking up way to much space. I realized that I have *way* too many Demonia purses in stock and they need to go. I also have some Malco Modes PINK petticoats, several pair of pettipanties and a few blouses that I need to clear out so here as well. So here they are, all on sale 25%-35% off.

Shipping will be $6.25 within the US for Priority mail with insurance. Shipping cost will vary for outside the States depending if I can fit your order in the cheaper flat rate envelope or not. Blouses and small purses will fit but bigger purses and petticoats will not.
