Any advice on the second stage car seat? My baby is going to be 1, and there are so many options out there for the next step.
Thanks!

| Radio Golgotha - News & Upcoming Events |
[02 Sep 2007|08:02pm] |
It has been an incredible first month. We have had hundreds of unique listeners tune in from as far away as Finland, Canada, Hong Kong and dozens from our home base in Tampa, FL. We are particularly happy to welcome out German visitors which have made up almost 20% of our listenership. Now that we have stablized some of the technical launch issues, we will continue to add to our library of albums so that there will new music in rotation everyday including some smaller, but very interesting regional talent.
We also have new sets from DJ Devious, Maus and DJ Xanthus set to premiere next week. In the next few months, we'll continue this trend with the programming shifting towards more Djs, more often. You'll hear club sets from England, Germany and all over the US.
Thanks for your continuous support!!

| Toilet training and going to day care. |

Okay, so I've got the Little Miss happily using the toilet here at home. She doesn't need prompting and rarely has accidents.
However, she doesn't seem to be carrying this concept over to being at daycare. There she just wets herself. She doesn't say when she needs to go, and when the carer takes her to the toilet she doesn't go then either - even at times when she always needs to go, like after her nap.
She's at home with me tomorrow, so I'm going to try explaining to her that she needs to do the toilet thing for other people than me. Anybody have any other suggestions I could try?
(I know toilet training isn't exactly gothic, but I figure some of you will have been there before!)

Seriously, do all 4 year olds' brains just "check out" for no reason? Please, tell me this is just a phase. My daughter, Ariel, is 4 1/2 years old and is above average in intelligence (so I have been told) but lately she's either regressing or is just losing her mind. She's doing very dumb things that she didn't even do as a toddler!
Example: She has this beautiful wooden Disney Princess table and chair set in her room. She's had it now for 2 years. Out of nowhere she decides to take blue crayon to the entire thing - I mean like BIG TIME! On the table, chairs, chair legs, everywhere! WTF? Another example: She's been able to brush her teeth on her own for quite some time now. But in the past couple of days, she's been spilling her water, getting toothpaste all over God's creation (herself, her clothes, the counter, mirror, etc) and the response we get from her is, "I don't know how that happened?" Good Lord. I can't take it.
I'm very frustrated. It annoys me to no end and I try to be patient but dude, I know she knows better but her brain has suddenly taken a paid vacation without any notice.
Anybody having the same issues? Please tell me that this is a temporary situation. Please?

| Hey |
[13 Feb 2007|12:15am] |
I just wanted to post to say hello, since I just joined this community. I'm the mom of two daughters, Bella (7! - I still can't believe she's 7 already) and Lilith (2 and a half).
Back in the day, I used to frequent a newsgroup called alt.goth-parenting and really miss the ability to chat with like-minded moms, since I don't see many like me on a daily basis.
Nice to be here.

| RSV |
[11 Jan 2007|10:04am] |
Hello,
Have any of you gone through RSV that turned into bronchiolitis with your babies? Regan is almost 3.5 months, and of course after one week at day care she got sick. The pediatrician gave her a nebulizer treatment, and we have to give her two more, and go back to the dr office this afternoon. She is hardly eating.
Any advice?

Just 1 more day and I'm 37 weeks pregnant...
When I was pregnant the first time, I had a big belly... But never a big belly as this one:
I really adore it... but I I do think sometimes: "what will this big belly look like when it's empty again?" lol

| 2.60 well spent |
[01 Dec 2006|11:31pm] |
Dollar General had Halloween stuff on clearance for 90% off, weeks after the other stores had sold out. So, I spent a few bucks, and got several bags full of stuff.
The kids have been going nuts over it! The skulls on sticks are being used for dueling, or playing a version of the ow-ow game. Lucy carried one of the plastic skeletons around like a baby doll, and kept holding it up for me and Nikk and saying "Kiss it!", and tried to feed it one of the candy bones that came with the glow-in-the-dark skull glasses.
