hi everyone!
i just into this manga recently,and i really interested in akane and subaru relationships.
i think both of them are very sweet as a couple.
and then i read somewhere in the internet that there is an extra chapter in volume 11 about how subaru is trying hard to change his otaku ways for the sake of akane.is there any scanlations of that particular extra chapter been done?

Hey all,
So, I'm a publishing student at NYU, and for my magazine publishing class we have to come up with a magazine brand and present the idea in a project as if we were launching a brand.

I've decided to do a manga culture magazine, that would be a kind of combination of a fashion mag (with applicable Japanese/Manga-esque fashion), manga magazine, and anime magazine. I want to include articles on cooking Japanese food, how to achieve a Japanese look in America, decorating tips, japanese lessons, cool technology, restaurants, manga and anime reviews, horoscopes, new releases, manga previews, freebies, music, letters, fanart, fanfic, the works.

Think Shojo Beat, Yen Plus, but only ONE chapter of manga and full of editorial instead on all of the above. What I want from YOU is to hear suggestions for articles you would be interested in seeing in a magazine like this. I really want to know more about what fans think about this kind of thing. Please, suggest anything that comes to mind; I'd be really grateful! Thanks!

All right, Hot Gimmick has been finished for quite a while now, and I know the disappointment that was Hot Gimmick S didn't exactly breathe life back into the fans. I'm sure from here on, the majority of posts will be regarding sales of the manga and merchandise. Which is why I'm wondering if the fandom's altogether abandoned, or if y'all are just sleepin'.

note to self: stop channeling kazama's colloquialisms. stop it.

So, here's what I propose: Would anyone here be interested in a sort of informal fix exchange or drabble-a-thon based on requests? An example would be this but fandom specific. If so, I just ask that you voice your interest in a comment.

It would be nice to generate some more fic for such a great series. And hey, even if you lost interest at the end, a big aspect of fandom is fixing canon!

This is a filtered post directed at my friends who role play and whom I know love role play.

I have an idea for a world setting, which it can be a multiplayer universe. I pretty much describe it as a big island with many different areas to it depending on characters you would want to play, like there is a dark side to it, if you wich to play a vampire or creatures of the night, there is the city, which I imagine to be like Burenai, Taiwan + Tokyo, Japan + Shanghai, China + New York City, NY + Los Angeles, CA.

There will a country area with farms and such.

I'm thinking about having 2 main schools, both elevator, one public and one private, and they will always be in competion with each other in many things [ie: sports, festivals.. etc] (For those that want to rp teenage - college characters)

I'm so planning on having there be business district for those those that want to be older characters. [ ie: tall bulidings, cafe's, resturants, malls, shopping centers etc]

I'm also thinking of having entertainers too, anyone who wants to join with friends and be a boy group, girl group, famous model, famous actor or actress in a drama's, so be it.

It can be a Multi-fandom rp so you can be originals if you wish, or you can use characters from manga, anime or asian music, anything you want.

If I create something like this, who would be interested? who would join? who would want to help me mod? I mean I would love to this it would be a lot of fun, I just want to know who would be interested. If you are, contact me.

I'm new to this community and I figured I'd introduce myself.
I started reading Hot Gimmick about a year ago when I found the first volume sitting in a pile of friend's library books. I got up to volume 8 before life got busy and I lost track of it.
I recently started reading again, and I've gotten up to volume 10 (I can't find volumes 11 and 12 online! D=)

I guess I just wanted to say that I really enjoy the story and the irrationality of the characters really strikes me as true to life.
I'm a RyoukiXHatsumi fan, in case you're wondering. =)

Ah... To cut to the chase, I want someone to spoil the ending for me. I've read all the entries on the first page, and it's just an overwhelming load of information, because it's all riddled with scenes I've yet to read, so I'd like to request a straight out rehash of what exactly does happen in the end.

It's not to say that I don't take HG seriously, but aaah, it frustrates me so much, not because of Ryouki's sporadic indignant behavior, but because straight off the bat in chapter one... Hatsumi did something sexual (?) with Ryouki? I just can't find that believable. Ryouki is definitely not a stock characteristic for a 17 year old since he straight out asked for sex, but to be so corrupted about it just frustrates me to no end.

Personally, I wish she ended up with Shinogu (but not in her current naive state), but from what I've read, that's only the case in the alternative ending (which is not satisfying!). So by the first chapter, I didn't want to read it anymore, but then I suddenly appeared on Chapter 24, when I finally stopped.

So... I just want to know who she ends up with, and basically why. Did she finally develop solid feelings? She definitely isn't conned into it? Etc.

Please don't hate me >.<

Hi I'm Milty and I'm obviously new to the community. Anyway I just have a few questions to ask x3

First of all the questions, I have only 2 of em.

1.) I have every volume of Hot Gimmick in English and 1-5 in japanese however I left em 6 states away from where I live now, I know I'll get em back in a few months but is there anyway to find the scans of the bonus chapters in 8 and 12 and the last 20 pages of the final chapter in volume 12? I did download all the scans but for some reason it skipped those three parts D:

2.) Now this is not related to Hot Gimmick but to Miki Aihara. Does anyone know where I can even find the Raws for the sequeal to "Techers Pet"?! I looked around for about 3 hrs with only the results being everywhere saying its done but its not and I want to read the rest reaaaalllly badly.

If Anyone can help me that would be great X3 Thanks in advance.

I also promise to be able to contribute some art later on this week X3

I've read online the manga, up until chap.47, and I just can not wait any more,
I really want to know how it has ended.
A friend of mine told me there are no happy endings in those kinds of manga, but I really hope for
a good ending here (a good ending for me is one when Hatsumi and Ryuki together and happy).

I'm new to the Hot Gimmick lj, not new to Hot Gimmick. Thought I'd make a post introducing myself and giving a bit of my opinion on the manga ending. Though I enjoyed Hot Gimmick immensely I was disappointed with the ending. I felt Hatsumi should not have chosen any of her suitors.

me Hatsumi should have decided to grow as an individual as a person first. Find someone when she has grown that she could have a healthy relationship with. She was the kind of character that allowed others feelings and opinions make her decisions for her. I honestly couldn't see her with any of the guys through complete choice of her own. With Ryoki he bullied her into a relationship (regardless that she had some sort of feeling for him). And forced himself on her many times. For Shinogu she felt guilty about not returning his romantic feelings. I mean come on she saw him as her brother. It's kinda hard to jump from seeing someone as a sibling to seeing them as a lover unless you already had those sorts of feelings (which is kinda creepy if the person was your sibling). She would have dated him to make him happy and because others said he was a good choice. With Azusa she again felt guilty for what happened with his mother. When she first thought her father was his father she was willing to allow her self to take the punishment for him. Plus the whole him trying to get her gang raped would put an X on that relationship.

Hot Gimmick Swap?

Hey guys! So, Hot Gimmick has been over for a while, and that's sad. But I've been re-reading the series this past week (a friend recently borrowed them all and I just got them back) and I was thinking...it might be fun to do a Hot Gimmick swap?

It's been done in the Paradise Kiss community parakiss at least twice, and it's always been fun. Basically what happens is: everyone picks a character, gets assigned to someone who picked a different character, and then they mail each other small packages of little things that the character would use/want.

For example, last year in the Paradise Kiss swap, I got paired up with the lovely Meredith _secretpassion_ . She picked Arashi and I picked Miwako. I sent her some rock type things Arashi would like (a note book, some hair gel, safety pins, hair dye...etc) and she sent me all sorts of cutesy Miwako things (nail polish, lipgloss, an ADORABLE totebag I still use...etc).

Anddd I just remembered I had pictures of what she sent me on facebook!

There were also money levels for people who could afford to buy more/less, that way everyone could participate!

Anyway, it's lots and lots of fun. Anybody interested?
