Hot Gimmick Chapter 50 Translation
As promised here's the translation for Chapter 50. I got this finished after getting back from work at 10pm, but I managed somehow to complete it XD If anything's not clear, just like the other times, just post a comment and I'll do my best to explain/clarify things up. I didn't translate the cover page since it's basically questions brought on by the last chapter but if anyone wants me to translate it, I can. It's just I didn't find it very significant to this chapter at all so I didn't bother XD Anyhow, the translations are behind a link to avoid spoilers. Enjoy!

Hatsumi: I..I’m sorry I’m late mom.
Hatsumi: And I’m sorry I left the house without saying anything.
Hatsumi: I’ll go to school tomorrow.
Mother: Are you all right about Ryoki now?
Mother: Are you?
Hatsumi: …yeah.
Hatsumi: I’m fine..
Hatsumi: (He saw Onii-chan embrace me, but he left looking like he didn’t care at all)

Shinogu: Mom, is dad asleep?
Mother: Yes he is. So please keep your voices down. We’ll talk tomorrow.
Mother: Spring break’s already started for you, right? Why don’t you stay here this week? Let’s have a talk while your father is in Tokyo.

Akane: Hatsumi-chan! You’re back?
Mother: Sh---! [telling her to be quiet XD]
Akane: I’m so glad! Welcome back!
[in the background her mother’s saying “sh---“ ^^]
Hatsumi: Aka-chin, sh--- [Aka-chin is Akane’s nickname XD]
Mother: Akane! You’re too loud, go talk in your room!
Mother: And Shinogu, for you it’s the bath. I’ll go put in the water right now so you can go in first.
Shinogu: Ah---yeah…
Akane: Hatsumi-chan, come here! How are you? Are you okay?

Mother: Well..of course it would be a lie to say I wasn’t surprised.
Mother: but Shinogu,
Hatsumi: (Mom’s voice..?)
Mother: I think that if that happens, it wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
Mother: Even if something like that happened between you and Hatsumi
Mother: I probably wouldn’t be against it.

Mother: Okay, okay. I won’t say anything anymore.
Mother: You can go take a bath. I’ll have some tea ready.

Akane: What?
Akane: Weren’t you a bit quick?
Hatsumi: Onii-chan was in the bathroom already, getting ready for the bath so I couldn’t go in.
Akane: Oh, right—
Hatsumi: (So that’s how it is.)
Hatsumi: (My mom thinks like that.)
Hatsumi: (Unlike the time I was going out with Tachibana-kun, when she kept on saying how she was against it, she would be happy.)

Hatsumi: (If I choose Onii-chan.)
Subaru: A-
Subaru: A fever?! He collapsed because of that? [what he actually said was “chienetsu” which is a term often used to describe fever that children have. It’s nothing serious apparently judging from the term used ^^]
Mariko: Yes, the family doctor was saying it was something similar to it.
Mariko: He also mentioned how as a child, Ryoki-sama would have tendencies of falling ill.
Mariko: He couldn’t take the elementary school finals because this.

Mariko: The doctor was suggesting perhaps he had gone through a large shock.
[Ryoki’s remembering back to Azusa’s words from the previous chapter]
(Azusa: They’re probably doing it already)
(Azusa: Hatsumi’s staying at his house even after knowing his feelings towards her, so if it happened it wouldn’t be that much of a surprise)
Ryoki: I don’t have anything to be shocked about!!
Subaru: R-
Subaru: Ryoki-kun?

Ryoki: I have nothing to do with
Ryoki: whether she chooses to do it with her brother, or anyone
Ryoki: at all.
Ryoki: Since it’s been hectic the past few days, even a person like me would get tired. I’m just tired, that’s all.
Ryoki: Stop worrying about me and go to school already!
Ryoki: Just go—
Subaru: Ryo-kun?!
Mariko: Ryoki-sama

[all the words in the background are just different ways of saying “Good morning”]

Girl: Yesterday they told us what we have to study for the test. Ugh, give me a break.
Hatsumi: Eh, r-really? Tell me about it later.
Girl: The section we have to study for Japanese history is soo long—
Azusa: Good morning.

Azusa: Glad your “cold”’s gotten better.

Azusa: Ryoki’s father.
Hatsumi: Eh…
Azusa: And he was saying how
Azusa: in the end it was me and my father’s fault that he was dumped by my mother.
Azusa: Seems he came to tell me that he has no plans of apologizing at all about the affair.
Hatsumi: What?! What is that?! How could he say—
Azusa: Yeah, you’d think that too, right? He’s so self-centered, no wonder he’s Ryoki’s father.
