A treat for you guys. :)
A friend of a friend translated Chapter 54 of HG for me. I actually only wanted him to give me the gist of what happens at the end (because I couldn't make out what the heck actually happens just from looking at the scans), but he went and translated the whole thing. I was sooooooo surprised and excited, and devoured it all in about 5 min. But I would feel totally guilty keeping it to myself when I know there are so many HG fans dying to find out what happens, so here it is!
The caveat is that since he's not a regular reader, some of the translations may not be precise (he says Japanese is situational much of the time). So that's the warning that you might want to wait for the regular translator's post and not read this one. It sounds like she's super busy, though, so hopefully this will at least take some of the pressure off to get it done quite so quickly.
I changed two naming instances -- for 'Ryoki' he had originally written 'Shouki,' and for 'Azusa' he'd written 'Oda.' I'm not sure what accounts for the difference, but I went ahead and changed them in the translation.

Ryoki: We will.
Ryoki: I hate it, being apart, even if it's just for a little while.

Ryoki: Mayuko-san, you're back.
Mayuko: Yes! Shuuichirou-sama said to come help you…

Mayuko: Ah! Narita-sama's here?
Mayuko: Might I perhaps be interrupting?
Ryoki: Not at all! What's important's that mom's downstairs! We're
done talking, so she can come up here if she wants.
Mayuko: Hu- huh?

Ryoki (recollection): Once we're married…

Hatsumi: Wha-what's wrong, mom?
Hatsumi (thoughts): Don't… don't tell me Tachibana-san* … was yelling
at her again?
*this would be Ryoki's father, lest there be any confusion.
Mrs. Narita: It's Shinogu (two speech bubbles made one).
Mrs. Narita: He asked to speak with you.
Hatsumi: Hello? O-nii-chan?

Shinogu: Yeah … I hear ya.
Shinogu: Hatsumi…
Shinogu: You gotta keep a stiff upper lip, you know.
Hatsumi (phone): I … I … that is … it's you who should mind that, O-nii-chan.
Shinogu: I got here yesterday.
Shinogu: The letter mom and dad gave me.
Shinogu: It's all in there, together with the dissolution papers*.
*not sure.
Shinogu (phone): You told me to do whatever I wanted about it…
Shinogu (phone): But you know… it… the Narita home is my home.

Hatsumi: No, it's alright.

Mrs. Narita: Your father and I decided to let Shinogu do as he pleased.
Mrs. Narita: But when he came back we thought we should be as relaxed
as a family as ever.
Hatsumi: Yeah.
Hatsumi (thoughts): He forgave me for choosing Tachibana-kun. He
pressed me forward.
Hatsumi (thoughts): Let's take courage once more… tell mom plainly
that I want to date Tachibana-kun.
Hatsumi: Uhm, Mom, you know, I…
Mrs. Narita: And, there's one more thing.

Mrs. Narita: Before Shinogu called I'd spoken on the phone with your father.
Mrs. Narita: He said he's been officially transfered from the Oosaka
branch back to Tokyo.
Hatsumi: Re- really?
Hatsumi: Great! It's that great, mom?
Mrs. Narita: It was Director Tachibana's doing, he said.
Mrs. Narita: That he said he's sorry he'd given us such an unpleasant
time, that we wanted to apologize, said your father.
Hatsumi (thoughts): Tachibana-kun's dad did great!
Hatsumi (thoughts): Now, I think I can actually say it…
Mrs. Narita: And that …
Mrs. Narita: Tachibana's family's leaving town at the end of the month. (?)

(*could also mean "failed to sleep with her" - dunno, don't follow the
story).
Shinogu: Please accept me.
Shinogu (thoughts): I realized I would never be over it if I did not
do something like this.

Shinogu: I'm concerned for.
Character A: I did hear he was going off to some remote temple, but I
didn't really think he meant it, you know. Dunno exactly where,
though.
Azusa: Is that so?

think he's ever coming back?
Azusa: It's ok. He's got a home here, so he'll come back… if Ryoki and
Hatsumi split up, that is.
Azusa's friend: I see...

Azusa: Though I'll try not make Hatsumi hurt more than necessary.
