Hot Gimmick Chapter 45
Here's chapter 45. There's one more chapter in Volume 10 left to post, and I'll be putting that up here tomorrow. Some people have been wondering exactly how/why Hatsumi and Ryoki broke up, well, here's the chapter that has them breaking up. All confusion should be cleared up now ^^ It's behind a lj-cut to avoid spoilers. Enjoy!
Chapter 45
Page 1:
[continuation from last chapter:
Ryoki: The person you were looking for, the one who had the affair with Azusa’s mother, was my father.]
Page 2:
Ryoki: Apparently my parents were forced to marry each other because of their parents and
Ryoki: so it couldn’t have been helped that my father had other women he liked.
Ryoki: From what Mariko-san was saying, she’s known this for a long time.
Ryoki: Seems my father was pretty into that woman so to call it an affair…I think it was a little different.
Ryoki: Well,
Ryoki: It has nothing to do with me so I don’t really care.
Ryoki: If anything, I was only surprised
Ryoki: the woman was Azusa’s mother.
Ryoki: Because I thought the person she had the affair with was your father.
Hatsumi: …that’s…a lie…
Hatsumi: …but…
Page 3:
Hatsumi: My dad apologized to Azusa.
Hatsumi: He said “I’m sorry” while he was on his knees.
Ryoki: …oh…
Ryoki: turns out your father was just a cover.
Ryoki: It was a contract
Ryoki: between your father and mine.
Ryoki: I didn’t ask for the reasons….
Ryoki: but it would mean your father was carrying my father’s accusations.

Hatsumi: Tachibana-kun….
Hatsumi: did you know about this….
Hatsumi: …all along?

Hatsumi: If you knew…then why are you…saying it like…it doesn’t matter—

Hatsumi: How long have you known?

Hatsumi: when I was saying how I wanted to reinvestigate with Onii-chan and Azusa you got so mad?!
[remembers back to Ryoki saying:
Ryoki: There’s no point in researching about something that happened a long time ago]
Hatsumi: --you knew, didn’t you?!
Hatsumi: You already knew?!
[remembers back to Ryoki saying:
Ryoki: This is stupid!]

Hatsumi: I wanted to know…the truth…about my father…
Hatsumi: How could you…--
Hatsumi: Why?! Why didn’t you tell me?!
Hatsumi: How could you…
Hatsumi: I can’t believe you…
Hatsumi: Tachibana-kun…
Ryoki: I told you.
Ryoki: I don’t care about it.
Ryoki: I completely forgot about it until I saw the picture.
Hatsumi: Wh—
Ryoki: Anyway,

Ryoki: your family issues, your parents, my mother, and your brother,

Ryoki: To me.

Ryoki: Then why are you still obsessing over it?
