We are happy to announce that director Rory Abel’s short horror film, Apathy Breeds Contempt, has been selected as part of the Coney Island Film Festival’s horror program in New York City. The nine and a half minute short, which confronts the complacency of film audiences in the violence they see onscreen, will be screen along with 11 other horror films from both New York and internationally based filmmakers of varying length.

If you are interested in attending the program, it takes place on Saturday, September 27th at 8:00pm in Coney Island’s very own Sideshow By The Seashore. Tickets for hour long program cost $6 and can be purchased online, without a surcharge, through the festival itself. Please be advised that space is extremely limited and the programs tended to sell out before the day of the screening so it is recommended that everyone try to purchase their tickets well in advance.
