Worst Movie Ever?

I’ve seen the “Best movies ever” list and I’ve seen good reviews of horror movies, but I haven’t found a post on what’s the worst! (Though I probably accidentally overlooked it, sorry if I did…)

So, the main question here is: What is the worst horror movie you’ve ever seen?

If you want, please feel free to explain why~ ♥

For me, it was Zombie Nation! Gahhhhhh, horrible horrible movie. I don't even know how to explain D: (Just go to Amazon and check out the review, they explain it well)

Normally I'd ask what movies came out this year that you guys liked...buuuuuut I know that not much came out this year that was any good (at least in U.S. theaters), so I'll simply ask which movies you saw this year (overall) that you really liked (on dvd or otherwise).

And now that I'm writing this post, I realize I really haven't seen much of anything this year that was much good, so I hope some of you will have some decent recommendations.

FEAR in Review: Top 9 Movies of '09!

Hey guys, saw this on FEARnet.com and wanted to share.  Most movie sites have their top movies of 2009 lists, but FEARnet has their top HORROR movies of '09, which I thought was pretty awesome.

And now, without further ado...

Newbie Post

This is apropos of nothing in particular, and it's certainly not earth-shattering, but I recently listed the ten worst horror movies of my experience, if you'd like to check them out. Sequels and remakes, with one exception, are excluded, so you don't have to go in expecting the same old stuff.

Just thinking...

Am I the only one who misses VHS? I miss going to Blockbuster and renting dusty old horror movies on VHS that had been there for years. When they started selling them off I bought a bunch just because those pieces of plastic were a big part of my childhood. The Mom and Pop type shop in my town kept VHS around a little longer and def had a better selection of rare horror movies but they too have gone to all DVD. Sometimes I feel like a loser for watching a movie on VHS even tho I have the DVD too...

Argue if you will, but I honestly believe Dead Alive/Brain Dead is one of the best horror films ever.  Sure, it makes you gag and laugh more than it probably scares you, but funny/disgusting is what makes this movie so great.
It's so fucking gross...I love it :D

hmm...

Whatever happened to horror movie marathons on television around Halloween? This should not an average night of television...for crying out loud, on Thanksgiving, TBS has been showing A Christmas Story nonstop for years now?

So what are you watching to celebrate the holiday since nothing is on?

Paranormal Activity...

Oh Em Gee! This movie is sooo scary! The end scared the crap out of me!
I thought it would be way over hyped and disappoint me, but it didn't! Believe the hype!
Now, it is slow building and takes a while to establish the mood and atmosphere, so you have to be patient with it. It's not action packed right away, with blood and gore all over the place. This movie is subtle small horror, that requires you to use your imagination to scare yourself silly...until the grand finale, which is just awesome!

SPOILER!!!

At the end, I could tell it was fake. I already read it was fake before seeing it, but something happened at the end that justified the reports. The body being thrown into the bedroom was obviously cgi. And when Kate's face changes into the demon's face...thta was obviously the work of computers as well. I don't think a possessed person would actually grow fangs and their eyes change like that. Besides, after that night Kate got dragged through the hall, I would HAVE LEFT immediately!! I would have gone to family, friends,, a hotel..anywhere but that house! Then again, it wasn't actually the house, it was an entity attached to Kate since age 8.

Even though it wasn't actual footage, I found Paranormal Activity to be one of the most TERRIFYING thrillers I've seen in a long time! The camera wasn't so nausea-inducing as, say, Blair Witch Project or Cloverfield, but I loved those movies too!
