어서오세요♥ 쾌도 홍길동 is about the illigitimate child, Hong Gil Dong (Kang Ji Hwan). At first, Gil Dong is only a talented fighter and strategic leader hindered by his lower class birth. He gives up on becoming a great man, until he sees the true problems of the government officials and corrupt king. Joined by a bandit of thieves, Gil Dong rises above his own selfish needs, and becomes the Korean Robin Hood in the Joseon era. Heo Yi Nok (Sung Yu Ri) is an adopted girl by Grandfather Heo, who becomes a medicine peddler with her grandfather. Though talented at martial arts, Yi Nok's thoughts don't process well, and is often dubbed stupid by Gil Dong and Chang Hwe (Jang Geun Suk). Chang Hwe is the real heir to the throne, as the past King had named his younger son the heir, not Kang Hwe, the current king, who slowly slips into madness believing his brother is dead. Chang Hwe, with the help of manipulative Madame Noh, attempts to gain back his rightful spot as King. |
