Oh man. I've been working on this for, like, two weeks or something. And even now I'm still trying to decide what to put. >.< It's easier granting other wishes than posting my own list. =o
1. Icons - Dun have to be fancy or anything, just something that someone else made for me. Interests are on my profile, but I'm open to anything that makes me smile/laugh/awww/whatever.
2. Fanfic! - I live off of this stuff. Write it or rec it or whatever. Point me at it and I'll read it. Or at least attempt to. o.O [My Shippy List o' Doom]. If you're willing to write me something, I can give you more info on what I like and don't like, but really I'm not picky and if you write it I'll probably read it.
3. Music recs - You can mail me a mix CD or whatever, but really if you just comment with names of songs/bands/albums you like, and even better why you like them, that'd make my day. Any music at all... lyrics, no lyrics, non-English lyrics... whatever. I may not like it all, but I'll try it all.
4. Pictures of the high res variety, celebrities/movies/tvshows/etc - The other thing I live off of. Um... lots of options here. It'd be cool to find someone(s) else who collects pictures and then split the saving duties so that more pictures are saved (and then exchanged) with less effort. Or if you have agency access >.> I could give you a [small] list of people to get me pictures for. Or if you're super-duper you could help me get access to any number of places that I don't currently have access to.
Edit: This kind of thing. (I had trouble finding a post I'd made that wasn't in a friends-locked community and wasn't something I'd scanned, lol)
5. TV Shows - I hate asking for this one, because I think they're too expensive, so then asking someone else to get 'em seems even worse. But just in case! Anything not on this list. Except reality TV. Have something you don't want? Send it. Find it cheap somewhere? Send it. Used? That'd be super-duper. Burned? Okay with me, as long as it's from the actual DVDs... whole reason I like watching shows on DVD is the closed captioning, which gets stripped out (I guess?) of avis and mpgs.
6. Clothes - hats/caps/shirts/sweatshirts/head-or-tor so-wear: My friend got me a Navy hooded sweatshirt and it rocks. Anything military or detective-y (CSIs, NCIS, JAG), as show merchandise or real organizations would be super. OR t-shirts/long-sleeve-t-shirts: T-shirts can be anything cool looking... I dunno. Whatever. The long sleeve t-shirts I'd prefer be solid colors, but they can have logos or designs or whatever. I like to wear the t-shirts over the long sleeve shirts. Anything you have lying around that you don't want anymore would be tubular. I seem to wear small/medium.
7. Games/Software - Games you play... software you find useful. Just recommendations, no money spending or mail sending. Especially free online games, or favorite old computer games. And any sort of software that does cool things. Software you can't live without!
8. Jokes/Puzzles - Actually more like... anything I can use to entertain people at family gatherings or wherever when conversation gets dull. Like Chuck Norris Facts or Wu Riddles or Crack the Case-type stuff. Lateral thinking, logic puzzle type things. Or stupid jokes, lol. Or other things that you think might entertain a group of people.
9. Happy Birthdays - My birthday is December 26th. I'll be 26. E-mails, or messages on AIM or MSN, or just comments on my lj wishing me a happy birthday would seriously make my day.
10. Let me grant your wish - I'm going through wishlists starting at the beginning but there are a TON and I probably won't make it through before Christmas. So if you see this and you asked for graphics that can be made in Photoshop, or burned TV shows (they'll be avis, 12 1-hour episodes to a DVD-R disc) leave me a comment with a link to your list so I can grant more wishes. I don't have all TV shows (obviously) but I do have a surprising number of them. Well, it surprises me anyway.

Comments
What do you call a sheep with no legs? A CLOUD!
What do you call a cow lying on the barn floor? GROUND BEEF!
these are pretty silly, but if you start it off, other people in the group might have jokes too!
Also, about #10. I would LOVE Veronica MArs season 1, or Firefly, if you are willing! email me at sweetheart_jlp @ yahoo DOT com
And YAY for Firefly. ;)
3. Will a .zip file of some of my favourites with a .txt file explaining why be okay? I have a tendency where half of the music I like is hard-to-find music.
4. Ooh! I can try and help with this! I'm totally obsessive about picture collecting. I don't have access to anything that isn't free, but I'd love to save pictures with you!
6. Where in the US do you live? Like, what state? My sending physical stuff is dependent on shipping costs...
7. Abandonia.com Abandonware games.
Abandonia Reloaded Freeware games
10. Tadaaa!
4. Probably should be further discussed through e-mail, I guess.
6. North Carolina, didn't even think of sticking that in my post... time to edit yay!
7. Score! I'll check 'em out.

Promo pictures, public appearances and/or photoshoots.
I really need to edit my wishlist apparently, lol.
I can help you with wishes 3, 8 and 9. I love talking to people about my music tastes and I'd love to pass along some lyrics with the mp3s.
And as for the jokes...I have a large collection of very corny and nonsensical jokes. Many of them are Christmas right now so I hope you don't mind.
As for your birthday wish...I love telling people happy birthday! I'll be sure to send you a e-card or a little comment in your lj!
So...shall I drop everything off in your LJ or through email?
Yep, Christmas-related stuff is fine with me.
And I didn't actually mean I was looking for lyrics with the music, I was trying to come up with a way to cover all kinds of music without just saying "all kinds of music" since that means different things to different people... but I won't say no to any lyrics you want to pass along!
But thanks, I will definitely check it out.
Confuses me! >.<
I'll look at the other two.
Braddah Iz - Somewhere Over the Rainbow - This is my favorite song of all time. it's a remake of the Judy garland song and the song what a wonderful world but with a hawaiian flare. When I think of this song I think of home.
Keahiwai - Promised Love - Really great beat and anyone can relate to the lyrics
Fiji - Impossible - I just love this song it's catchy and makes you want to just sway
E'kolu - All She wants - at the moment one of my favorite songs. It's such a sweet song about a guy who knows all about the woman he loves so he knows what she wants :D
E'kolu - If I was your man - THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG OF THE MOMENT. It's not new but I got their cd out again and I am in love with this song again. This is about a guy who is telling the woman he loves that if he was her man she'd never want for anything. sooo sweet.
Christmas Music... whole Albums...
Merry Christmas With Love by Clay Aiken - okay i am not a huge fan but a great cd
Music From the O.C. Mix 3: Have a Very Merry Chrismukkah - Various Artists - love the mix of indie artists
How The Grinch Stole Christmas Movie Soundtrack - Various Artists - this is one of the best christmas movie soundtracks
How The Grinch Stole Christmas - The Original 1966 TV film
Happy Holidays (A Very Special Christmas Album) by Billy Idol - this such a funny holiday cd billy idol? yup and it's not rock re-makes it's a soft album so if you like billy idol rock god this is not for you :D
If you like them and want more I'll upload more for you and send you the links some other time :D let me know at mypetconcubine@yahoo.com
If your interested my Wish List is HERE
A cute joke my ex-fiance told me:
Two biscuits are baking in an oven.
One says to the other, "Geez, it's hot in here."
The second says, "Oh, my God! A talking biscuit!!!"
Another one was sort of an in-joke between him and I. So many times when he was trying to type "I feel good", he'd accidentally leave out the second O, and it came out "I feel God". So we kinda always batted that one around when one of us needed a quick giggle. :)
Oh, I just spotted your birthday thing; that's so cool. :) Happy Birthday in advance! :D
And my list.
Music mix; here - let me know if its expired, I'll reupload. Handing this link out to many people!
And oh noes the page I am looking for is no longer availablez! I'm assuming that's code for the fact that it has expired.
Errrr... I'm too conversational and not enough thankful, lol. I LOVE PEOPLE WHO WRITE ME FANFIC OMG. I dun think I've ever read anything by you. I don't know. I don't keep up. >.<
Wow, we have friends in common all over the place. And there is nothing better than looking at someone's profile and seeing "Kate/Gibbs" in bold. :D
AND last but least, it's goofy but your icon made me happy. I don't even know why. I technically don't even watch the show. But I was like "Atlantis yay!" lol
Totally didn't realise how many people/things we have in common - way cool! I haven't written anything in a while; science degrees makes me unable to write anything but lap reports for most of the year :(
Heh, I'm loving Atlantis muchly, I kinda fell out of SG1 and into SGA; because they no longer seem to show either of them here at the moment and I can only be bothered to download one each week most of the time - still see some SG1, Vala amuses me greatly! Currently for some reason I'm watching NCIS at 4:30 in the morning -rollseyes- And I need to sort my icons out; moved from paid with masses of icon space to plus with 15 and haven't reordered my icons so have no NCIS ones to use right now :(
But if you're looking for something on the cheap and easy, check out Orisinal.com or do a search for the LOOM game. Orisinal has a collection of really basic, but beautifully designed, Flash-based games and they're all fantastic time wasters. As for LOOM, there are so many excellent early '90's computer games floating around out there in internet limbo, but LOOM is one of the best.
Starting with #3: check out my LJ, posts marked with the tag "free music". Example: this post, which is from today. Yousendit expires after 7 days, but I will happily re-upload just about anything--I *love* sharing music with people. Some of them have reasons why I love them, some don't. I should probably write more about that. And I'll have to get back to you on more music, if you're still looking for it. :D
5. As for TV shows, one *can* find subtitles for most avi rips, actually--I'm told there are subtitles for many shows. I don't actually have any TV shows as actual store-release DVDs, so can't help ya there. :/ The only TV shows I have a lot of are all eps of Lois & Clark, and the first five seasons of Smallville, but all of them are in avi format except the extended pilot of L&C, which was a fanmade DVD, I think. I'll be glad to share those if you want 'em, but there aren't subtitles with the L&C. The SV very likely *does* have subtitles out there, and I could probably track them down if you are interested.
7. Happyland Adventures Xmas Edition is a favorite of mine. You can find it just about anywhere online with a quick search. Making one's own levels is a blast, and there are lots of levels available for download. It's a simple platform game that is fun for kids and adults alike. :D For other recommendations, I suggest Home of the Underdogs, an abandonware site chock full of interesting games. Some are not available for download because they found them at retail places or because the producers are EULA members.
8. One fun game requires only a bunch of tennis balls. Have everyone stand in a circle, and one person begins by tossing a ball to someone *not* next to them in the circle. Then they proceed by tossing it to someone else, until it goes around in a routine to each person once (and never to anyone next to each other), and the last person catches and holds it. They have to do this successfully without dropping it. Then you send *two* balls through, one after the other. Then three . . . We got five successfully through a group once, and had a real blast with it. Kids from about 9-10 and up, with sufficient coordination, can play this with the adults and have lots of fun.
10. I submitted mine, but it hasn't appeared yet. According to your list, you don't have Dr. Quinn. :/ That's my hugest request, in terms of episodes--I can't find them anywhere to download, and they're way too heavy to buy. However, I did spot Remington Steele in your list, which I very much would like to try out. E-mail me at doranwen dot yahoo dot com if you're serious about sharing those. I can manage downloads from an ftp if that works best for you.
I can't say that I have Dr. Quinn... never watched it when it was on and haven't thought about downloading it... but there are lots of other shows I have downloaded that I don't necessarily own on DVD (or aren't out on DVD). I should probably make a list sometime.
My friends think I'm crazy but I download stuff I already have on DVD... the groups that do DVD rips are way better at it than I am, and it's nice burning the avis to DVD to take with me on trips or whatever. Takes up a lot less space so I can take everything with me if I want. And if I suddenly realize "omg so-and-so was in an episode of whatever!" it's easier look through the episode as a file than to pull out my DVDs and try to scan through.
And I'm a completist dork. >.>
I do have the first season of Remington Steele downloaded somewhere... you are welcome to it. If I can find it. lol
Merry Christmas! :)
So, want it?
Actually, just e-mail me, that's easier. bowserbabe at livejournal dot com
