For anyone not sure, this means that weekly things, like sorting, Hicons, etc, end on the previous sunday, as the HiH week ends on a Sunday.

Make sure you've got all the activities that you need in the system before the day you're going to submit them.

Also, I tend not to approve activities for the following month until that month is closer because of my filter settings. I'll start looking at them in a few days.

I thought that everyone should know that my dear friend thenecessities passed away on November 12th. She was hit by a drunk driver and died in the hospital. She was such a sweet person and I know that she loved this community. I will miss her so much and hope you all set aside a moment of silence for her and think of her family.

Sorry about this, I've been having some IRL issues recently, the brightside is they've left me with more time for HiH >.< (I know, I can't decide if it's a good thing either).

Anyway, activities approved, sorting, etc, auto generated and submission dates changed for the current month.

Knuts were deposited some weeks ago.

Btw, any officials want their activities auto-generated? They have to occur regularly, and have nothing that needs approval, so WB/SQ/etc are out because of the prompts, but I'm sure there are a few out there.

One minute, confluents from Hufflepuff and I are talking about how bananas in smoothies and shakes tend to take over the flavor, being a very bossy fruit, and the next, we came up with Bananatrix, a cross between Bellatrix Lestrange, and a banana.

Only a few people have participated in part 2, so you have a really good chance of winning.

Only the above named two people have voted on the current batch over at hih_animagus. Since there are five apps up, and we recently upped the knuts from 1 to 3 per app, we're talking about every single person in this community having the opportunity to score 50 points/15 knuts, for half an hour's work. And it's FUN work! And all Registered Animagi get an extra 10 points! That's more than you'd get for placing first in a contest, guys!

I'm sorry to have to say this, but I've finally have enough, I'm leaving the community. I'd like to say it was fun, but...









Just kidding! But flounce/leaving posts in the main community and the officials comm are now pretty much forbidden. If you're the mod of a community you can have one non-flouncy post in the comm you run, and if you really really really really must, a good-bye and farewell post in your common room.

Nothing over here. Unless you're me or Steph, at which point this is our community.

So yes. Anyone who does it from now on will get 10 points docked and be banned from returning to the comm for like 6 months or something.

Animagus Voting ends tomorrow night at 10 PM UTC (5 PM CDT). Given the poor turnout last batch, it would be awesome if we could get some last-minute votes and give the applicants some exciting choices! Since there are four applications, you have the chance to earn forty points and 12 knuts - it's the equivalent of placing second in a contest, and every single person in your house can earn it! You do not need to be a Registered Animagus, or even a member of the community, to vote!

So far we have 5 lions, 3 badgers, 2 eagles and 2 snakes. This makes me a sad fox. Go get voting! Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws, you usually have a much better turnout than this.

HEY HOGWARTS. There's a couple things going on at hh_stmungos which should be attracting your attention!

First, the Creature-Induced Injuries Ward only has three participants in our current activity - two badgers and a lion. Given that you just have to write a couple paragraphs about how not to get eaten, this is ridiculous! You do not need to be a member of the ward to participate, and registered Healers get an extra ten points. Go check it out! It ends this Friday at 9 PM CDT.

Next, the Artifact Accidents Ward is hosting a fun and not-too-difficult Scavenger Hunt. It's another easy 10 pts/5 knuts, and you don't even have to upload the images to your own server. XD Again, you don't have to be a member of the ward to play! Get to it! It ends Saturday at 1 AM CDT.

Finally, for an easy two points you can vote on the Phytopharmacology Ward's Poster Design contest. Get your votes in by tonight at 11 PM CDT!

Hey everyone!

For anyone that's interested in doing this, I've got two secret santa communities.

The first is for Harry Potter (shocking!) and is at hogwarts_hols.

The second is for Glee and you'll find it at gleefulsanta.

Sign-ups for both start on October 31, 2009 and go through November 30, 2009. You'll be able to post your wish lists and ask for anything from graphics (icons, headers, layouts, etc.) and vids to fic. I'll send out assignments so you know who you'll be a secret santa for and you can post teaser gifts up through Christmas Eve. Starting on Christmas Eve, you'll be able to post final gifts and reveal yourself as the person's secret santa. More details are available in the user info for each community.

Your humble animagus mods have been secretly upgrading the roster, but real life is stealing away our precious time so we need some helpers!

Basically, you will just be copy/pasting the information from the old roster into a shiny new template. We're looking for three volunteers to copy over about 40 entries each. Depending on your speed, this might take an hour or two. For your trouble, you will be rewarded with a hefty 20 knuts each!

It would probably be best if you have some passing familiarity with html, just to make sure you don't accidentally mess up a tag, but it's not necessary if you're careful! You should also have Notepad or another program that lets you save as a .txt document. Also, we'd like this done within the next couple days, so don't sign up if you don't have time to do it asap! You do not have to be an animagus to help!
