About Hogsmeade is currently CLOSED!!! The next Hogsmeade Weekend will begin on Friday, June 26. Please keep an eye on this community and the main community for announcements regarding the upcoming activities. Term XIV Hogsmeade Dates Mark your calendars! June 26-28 August 21-23 -->Only students who have a signed permission slip from a parent or guardian may attend weekend trips to Hogsmeade! This means you must be a sorted member of ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} hogwartsishome and a member of your common room!Hogsmeade is a place for the students and staff of Hogwarts is Home to roam free and have a bit of fun. Post quizzes, memes, surveys, chat threads -- whatever tickles your fancy! Mingle with your fellow students, make the most of your weekend -- but remember! It isn't all fun and games in Hogsmeade Village! Keep an eye open for special Hogsmeade activities that can earn your House major points! By participating in all official points-earning activities, you will earn a bonus of 20 points for your house and 10 knuts for yourself!! So go have a blast, and be sure to take your own mug into the Hogs Head. Please be sure to sign each post/comment with your house. It makes tallying points so much easier. All general rules may be found at hogwartsishome within the user info and FAQ.1. Naturally, only members of hogwartsishome may join, post, and comment here.2. You may only post during specified weekends. No trying to sneak posts in here for extra points when it isn't opened; I will have moderated post guidelines during anytime except the specified weekends. 3. Be courteous and follow the rules. Sure, Draco and Harry got into it in Hogsmeade, but there were also no teachers around to catch them. I.E., if we see you being nasty, or breaking the rules you will be sent back to Hogwarts and earn zero points for your house! 4. If you are a club member or the mod of an HiH subcommunity and wish to run a points earning activity at Hogsmeade, you must run it by the Hogsmeade Mayor and get approval from the HiH Mods. 5. All points earning activities must use the "official points earning activity" tag and must also have "Oficial Points Earning Activity" within the subject line. 6. Participate! Have fun! 7. When posting graphics: a)Icons can have three teasers outside of a LJ-cut; everything else must be under a cut or linked from another source. Do not make multiple posts of icons. Put them all under one entry. b) Quizzes with graphics -- if the graphic is so large that you have to scroll from left to right to see it, LJ-cut it. c) Please use small graphics; Nothing over 350x350; it kills our dial-up users and our layout, especially if everyone else is using large graphics. 8.
