| The big Kahuna...reveal...thingie. |
[Dec. 22nd, 2008|11:48 am] |
Ray, tell him about the Twinkie.
Here we are! The day of revelation! A few reminders:
1. Please, authors, remember to post your stories over at the Archive, and anywhere else you like. If you do, Killa will give you a cookie! (Okay that's a total lie, but come on! Post them for posterity!)
2. If you have not already thanked your author, please do so. I see there are about four or five of you who, I am sure in the chaos of the holidays, simply let it slip your mind! I know from personal experience that it's always nice to hear from the recipient for whom you spent time personally writing.
3. Thanks again for making this so much fun!
Without further ado, ( our authors: )
( And some final stats: )
Well that's it for me folks! See you again next year...unless HL finally qualifies for Yuletide! ::weeps::
...is it next September yet? |

| Final Mod Post |
[Dec. 20th, 2008|12:19 pm] |
Y HALLO THAR.
1. This is the last post before reveals. How about doing them Monday instead of Tuesday? I figure most people will be caught up with what they want to read by then.
2. THIS IS THE THIRD (und last!) GUESSING POST. IF YOU HAVE PLACED GUESSES, PLEASE DO NOT REPLICATE THEM HERE UNLESS YOU'VE CHANGED THEM. All previous guesses have already been factored into the stats.
( Here is the collection of all of our stories: )
And of course, our lovely and talented ( Authors! )
4. Thanks everyone for making this a great fest. I heard that some eople in the HP fandom saw ours and were MADE JEALOUS BECAUSE WE ARE ALL SO VERY NICE AND CORDIAL. (Those of you old timers, laugh with me). But really, buddies, I dearly love you all, and it was great to see Methos get so much action all your stories.
5. If you, writer, would like your story in its formatted form for LJ or where ever, mail me and I'll send you a copy of it. Some of you are really fast with that stuff, but if you, like me, are lazy, I can send you the prefab fabulousness.
6. See you MONDAY! |

Title: Wassail, Eggnog & Athel Brose Author: lferion aka A Scampering Mouse with Computer Access Written for: Our top reader/reviewers-- pat_t, bugeyedmonster, anya2112, bleukitty, jotribe, and reshcat! Characters/Pairings: Methos, Duncan, Joe - Methos/Duncan Rating: NC-17 Author's Notes: All of the drinks are real - see the end-note for specifics. This story would not be what it is without the encouragement, brainstorming, hand-holding, commentary and detailed nit-picking of reshcat and auberus. temve provided a very useful outside the fandom point of view and caught all of the double spaces. Thank you so much, ladies. I could not have done it without you. Any remaining infelicities are all my own. Summary: Holiday cheer comes in several forms.

| Second guessing post/notices and crap. |
[Dec. 18th, 2008|01:05 am] |
Hello! Guessing post two! IF YOU HAVE PLACED GUESSES, PLEASE DO NOT REPLICATE THEM HERE UNLESS YOU'VE CHANGED THEM. It plays havoc with my CAREFULLY CRAFTED STATS LOLLERSKATES.
A few notices:
1. WTF with all the horses? Addendum, WTF with me posting all the horse stories at once? It was like the My Little Pony block of the fest. I think there are more horses to come. NOTICE THE LACK OF THE GOAT. ::gleehands::
2. ( Story posting recap! )
The good news is that I moved things around and we will have at least one gen story every day for you non-slashers, all the way to the end of the fest. Wheeeee!
2. Please use this post as your second guessing post! Below is a list of all authors who have stories submitted in the fest. As usual, I will be compiling some end game stats, so feel free to go wild:
( Authors! )
I got nothing. Enjoy today's stories! Posting finishes on Saturday. Reveals next Tuesday!
WAIT!
3. Please remember to thank your writer! Most of you have, and I know some of you only check the list sporadically, but please take the time to jot off a comment to thank them for taking the time out of their madcap lives to write you a story! You know you liked it when you got yours!
Class dismissed. |

Author's Notes: It is important to this story to know that Matthew McCormick was Cory Raines' first teacher after Cory became an Immortal. It might also help to know that Matthew and Clay Mosby were played by the same actor, Eric McCormack. It also helps in reading this to imagine that both Mosby and McCormick speak with a cultured, educated, but carefully drawled, Southern accent. Summary: Cory and Fitz are on the lam from a botched robbery in Europe. Connor is taking them to Carson Wells at the request of Colonel Clay Mosby who has asked for assistance. Adventures occur.
