Chapter Summary: Urahara and Yoruichi get up for brekkie and talk and interrogate little girls.

Somewhere across town, Yoruichi was also waking up. She was cold on one side, and she couldn't quite figure out why, since she usually curled up under all the blankets she could find... Her pillow was lovely and warm though... Oh that's right, she wasn't in her own bed, she was in Kisuke's! Slowly she opened her eyes, moving her head so that she could watch him sleeping. His expression was totally relaxed, and his lips were slightly parted as he breathed slowly. He was obviously deeply asleep. Now, to wake him or not...

He was standing on a cliff. Why was there a cliff? He looked out over the town below as the sun rose over the horizon. It was an amazing view. But, how'd he get on a cliff? "Beautiful morning," she said. She was suddenly besides him…she wasn't there a moment ago.

He looked curiously over at her as she watched the sunrise. "Yoruichi-san..."

Yoruichi had propped herself up on one elbow to watch him for a little bit, in no particular hurry to leave the bed, even if she was a little chilly, and her eyes widened when she heard him mumbling something about morning followed by her name. And he was still using that darned polite "san" with it too...

"You don't need "san" anymore silly," she chided him, even though she knew he couldn't hear her.

Urahara blinked at her, but nodded in agreement. Why were they on a cliff? He watched the sun for a moment before turning back to look at her...but...she was gone. "Where'd you go?"

"...where'd ya go?" she heard him mumble.

"Didn't go anywhere silly," she smiled, draping herself across him but still looking up so she could watch his sleeping face, "Why would I go anywhere?"

He opened his eyes, blinking into the light coming in from the window. A smile spread across his face when he saw Yoruichi in his arms. The smile turned sinister as he went to tickle her, "Ohayo, Yoruichi-saaaaaaaan <333"

"Ohayo!" she purred, wriggling in his grip and giggling as she tried to avoid his tickling fingers. Of course, he did have the major advantage of long association with her to know every single one of her ticklish spots.

He giggled as he continued tickling her. "Thank you," he whispered, stopping for a moment. He didn't know what he was thanking her for, though. For being her, he supposed.

"You're welcome," she breathed. She wasn't sure what he was thanking her for either, but to her he had always been welcome, in every sense of the word.

"Breakfast?" He asked.

"What a good thought," Yoruichi agreed, kissing his chin, "Too bad it can't be breakfast in bed though!"

He laughed, "well, we could arrange it, but i think it would be against the law for a small child to see us naked."

"True," she agreed, "Although perhaps Tessai could be persuaded..."

Urahara contemplated that for a moment, finger on his lips..."that's....no...that might not be a good idea either.." He started getting up. "I think it best if we're on our own." He stretched his arms way above his head, yawning.

Yoruichi giggled. "Ah, so you want this all to yourself do you?" she grinned, getting up out of bed and wandering toward his closet, completely uncaring that she was naked and still showing the evidence of having been very well kissed the night before. And walking slightly awkwardly. That brought back lovely mental images that made her blush just a little, although she tried to hide it.

Benihime cackled in his head and he laughed nervously at the evil sound of it. He followed her to the closet and put on a robe. "You okay?" he asked, motioning to the way she was walking.

"I'm fine," she nodded, "I think I just need to stretch a little." She blushed again, looking at him, "I think I discovered a few muscles I'd forgotten about. I really was rather forward last night, wasn't I?" She was also still a bit sore from her encounter with those Arrancar a couple of weeks previous, but she hadn't told him that and wasn't going to.

"It's okay," he smiled, a small blush of his own creeping up. "I'll go start the pot," he laughed nervously again, turning to head to the bedroom door.

Yoruichi watched him go, a slight confusion on her face. What was that all about? Sometimes even with all the time they'd spent together she didn't entirely understand him.... And now she had a dilemma. She didn't have any clothes in here! Did she wait until he got back or did she just wear something of his? Certainly it wouldn't do to be walking around the house naked, poor Jinta would be most upset, and Tessai also. She didn't think it would bother Ururu, but still...she was nice and understanding when she had to be, even if she did like to tease people sometimes. Like Ichigo, that had been fun!

She looked through the closet and decided she could manage with something a little too large for now until she could retrieve some of her own clothes. She found one of his green tops and slipped it on, wrapping it around her and tying it with a belt she found. It was long enough on her to be decent, coming down almost to her knees, and the extra width in the chest accounted for covering her assets almost primly. It would do.

Thus clothed, she headed out toward the kitchen, stalking her Kisuke.

Urahara whistled to himself as he started the tea kettle. Mmmm, tea. He pulled down a jar of mint tea and searched the drawer for the tea spoon.

Seeing that he was distracted, she took the advantage presented to her and came up behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist and snuggling into his back. "What's for breakfast?" she asked.

He froze as arms wrapped around him, but relaxed when he heard Yoruichi's voice. "Rice with curry, I think," he smiled, drawing the tea spoon out from the drawer and closing it.

"Sounds find to me," she purred, "I'm unexpectedly very hungry Kisuke, you'd better make plenty for me!"

"Yes well, recreational activity uses up a lot of energy," he laughed, dumping the rice in the cooker.

"I suppose it does at that," she grinned. She kissed his cheek, "Thank you for feeding me," she purred.

He turned to look at her, shocked. "It's the hospitable thing to do."

"Is that the only reason?" she searched his gaze, "You're not...upset about last night are you?"

Urahara examined her expression a moment before fully turning to face her. He bopped her on the nose with the tea spoon, "that's a silly thing to think."

"Well you practically ran out of the room, what else am I to think?" she frowned.

He looked at her curiously not sure he was understanding why she was upset...or why she thought he was upset. "Yoruichi..." he gestured to the pot of rice, "foooooood."

"So...you dashed out of the room acting all odd because you were hungry?" she asked.

He turned his concentration back onto the rice. Yes, it will cook faster if he watched it. Should he change the topic or cover the issue in humor like he always did. He was afraid to look at her. It wasn't her he was worried about. It was Benihime. "I...wasn't acting odd because of you..."

"Well you certainly made it seem like you were," she half-glared, "I thought maybe I'd done or said something wrong. After all, I've always avoided getting too close to any men because I never knew if they wanted me for myself or what I was. Do you understand what I mean?" She felt a little tentative in explaining her reasons, but then, he'd always known more about things than he let on...when he chose to take anything in life seriously, that is.

"Since the day I met you..." he started, whispering..."I've wanted you." He turned to look at her.

Yoruichi found herself blushing again at the look in his eyes. This was ridiculous! She wasn't a teenager anymore - hadn't been one for centuries - and yet here she was feeling just like a teenager with a crush again. Admittedly that crush had been on him...

"Is that so?" she purred.

"It is," he purred in return, wrapping his arms around her waist and leaning in close to her, "I've just been stupid."

"You're never stupid," she contradicted him, "Just easily distracted." She snuggled slightly against him.

"Aaah, Yoruichi-san," he smiled, "you flatter me so <3."

She rolled her eyes and stuck her tongue out at him, "Maybe I should get out of the habit, you might begin to expect it," she pointed out.

"Ooooh, thank you thank yoooou, Yoruichi-saaaaaan <333." He smiled and reached into the cupboard to get the tea cups and bowls for their breakfast. Nummy nummy food.

Yoruichi just laughed helplessly. He really was easily distracted, always had been, always would be, but she knew that he always did get back to the important things eventually too.

He turned back to her and smiled again, "Sit down and food will come," he gestured her to the table as he poured the tea and started scooping out the rice.

That didn't need an answer other than action so Yoruichi sat, leaning forward onto the table as she waited to be fed.

He managed to get two bowls of rice and two cups of tea to the table without spilling a thing. He was proud of that. It normally didn't go so smoothly...and normally he was holding half what he had now. "Bon appetite!!!"

"Itadakimasu!" Yoruichi grinned at him...and promptly started stealing food from his bowl, managing not to spill any rice on the way either. Quite a feat, that!

"Hey, Hey, HEY!!" He started whining, "you have your own bowl!"

She pushed her bowl toward him. "I like yours better," she leered.

He blinked at the bowl of rice...not noticing any differences between the two. Shrugging he dug his chopsticks into the rice and started eating.

Yoruichi grinned and continued to eat from his bowl, not bothering to bring it any closer to her.

"Shall I move a little closer so I don't have to reach?" she offered.

"Huh?" he looked up from the bowl. "Oh! Sorry," he smiled; pushing the bowl closer to her and then returning his attention back to the rice.

Yoruichi laughed a little, then shifted over a little as well. "Thanks for breakfast," she smiled at him.

He leaned into her, nuzzling his cheek against hers. "Today is going to be busy," he laughed. "We have to interrogate little girls."

"Indeed we do," she grinned, "It should be fun! I haven’t' done an interrogation in years... So nostalgic..."

"Mmm," he nummed on some more rice, "Do you think we'll need to chain her up?"

"Well you have more experience of her strength levels than I do," Yoruichi mused, "What do you think?"

He pretended to think over it a moment then giggled, "It's not nice to chain up little girls."

"No, it really isn't...and there are other, more effective methods of getting information out of her without resorting to something so cruel," Yoruichi grinned. "Like feathers..."

Urahara didn't even hear the bit about the feathers. He was sill musing on the chains. "Mmm, but if Yoruichi-san wants to chain me up later, she is more than welcome." He grinned devilishly.

A slow flush worked its way up her face at that comment...then she smirked. "Silk is a binding material much preferable really," she pointed out.

He leaned in and kissed her cheek, "whichever you prefer..."

She kissed him back - on the lips - then nudged him in the ribs. "You're getting off topic," she pointed out. "Not that I mind the subject you switched to, but really Kisuke, you're so unfocused!"

"I think I'm very focused, really." He laughed. "It's just a selective focusing."

She couldn’t' help the giggles that came from that comment. "very selective," she agreed, still laughing.

He took that moment to poke her with his chopsticks. So mean, laughing at him.

"If it bothered me do you think I would have stayed around this long?" she pointed out, sticking out her tongue at him and stealing more of his food.

"I dunno," he said, sticking his chopsticks into the same bowl she was taking from, "you might just like laughing at me."

She leaned over to kiss his cheek. "No, although I do like that you make me laugh," she smiled at him. "For some reason I've never been able to keep myself away from you. Why is that anyway?"

Urahara smiled. "It must be the pheromones. You just can't stay away."

"Mmm...that could be," she admitted, leering at him.

He smiled at her and attacked the rice.

"Or it could be because you've never seen anything but me when you looked at me," she pointed out.

He looked at her, confused. "Why would I see something else?"

"Most people see nothing but a scion of a noble family, or a former captain, or the "god of flash" you know," she pointed out.

"All of those are a part of who you are." He said, playing with the rice with his chopsticks.

"But not all of who I am," she sighed, "You've never really cared about them. Well, I mean, other than the fact that they're parts of me. Most people tried to get close to me because they thought it would benefit them, you never did."

"You should know by now that everything I do is for a reason." He abandoned playing with the rice, his full attention now to her. "I am also," he smiled, "and insanely good judge of character." He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, "are you...my Yoruichi...are definitely...a character!!"

Yoruichi laughed helplessly at that. "A character am I?" she purred, leaning in to nuzzle her cheek against his.

He pouted, hoping to get a better response than that. "We have a little girl to catch."

Yoruichi kissed him, squirming onto him lap and grinning. "We do indeed have a girl to catch," she agreed, where would you like to start?

He welcomed her into his lap and glanced at the clock, "the girl is like clockwork. We should have no trouble at all."

"Good..." she purred, "Then we can get back to...other things." She glanced at the window. "The kidlets are usually outside at this time of day, aren't they?"

"Yuuup," he looked at what they were wearing..."maybe we should get dressed first?"

"Ppft...clothes, what a waste of time," she stuck out her tongue, "I'm comfy enough in your gi."

"That's wonderful," he smiled, standing up, "but there are children about."

She briefly clung to him as he stood, then let her legs down to carry her own weight. "oh of course, you're worried about the children seeing my legs," she winked at him.

"Yeeees," he gasped, "they might see your legs and think they are sexier than mine!"

She started laughing again, helplessly, leaning against him. "Fine, fine, I'll put some pants on," she managed to get out between giggles.

He giggled in success and followed her.

Yoruichi headed back to her room, where she found a pair of her usual dark pants and slipped them on. She debated whether to bother changing the top as well.

After getting dressed, Urahara admired himself in the mirror for a moment. Giggling he rushed out of his room and towards Yoruichi's.

Finally deciding to leave her top as it was, she loosened it, letting it hang around her before retying it over the pants.

He snuck into her room and tiptoed across it, smiling.

She was hardly on high alert, so she didn't really notice him coming in as she fussed with the tie of the top, making the bow sit just so at her hip.

He giggled as he pounced her from behind. Way too easy.

"Gah! Kisuke!" she protested, mostly because she felt a little slow for not having noticed his presence earlier - his stalking presence even!

"You are losing your touch in your old age," he giggled like a school girl as he tickled her.

"I am not loosing my touch," she protested, "I'm just too calm with you around, that's all!" she squirmed under his hands.

"Mmm, should never drop your guard." He smiled, "You never know when I'll attack."

"Perhaps I don't mind your attacks so much," she smiled, leaning back against him to stop the tickling, "now you've made my bow all messy again, I have to retie it before I go out," she stuck out her tongue.

He giggled and licked her cheek.

She untied the bow, letting the gi fall open again before she resettled it around her and started tying once again.

He resisted the urge to tug on the string as she started retying.

Once she was happy with it again she leaned her head back to look up at him. "Come on, the sooner we get information out of your darling little shop girl, the sooner we can move on to...other things," she pointed out.

Once she was happy with it again she leaned her head back to look up at him. "Come on, the sooner we get information out of your darling little shop girl, the sooner we can move on to...other things," she pointed out.

He nodded. Maybe they could skip the interrogation and just get back to those other things? Hmm, NO, they must question Ururu. He smiled and started to turn, taking her hand and they went. "Uruuuruuu <33333~~~"

Ururu had finished sweeping off the front porch and continued on to sweep the dirt path leading to the front porch. She wondered where Jinta was...he was supposed to be helping her. Not that she minded the quiet time...he was so noisy. When she heard her name being called she hopped back up onto the porch and then into the shop.

Yoruichi fought the urge to drape herself over his back and instead stood next to him as they headed out. When she saw Ururu come in, she smiled a "friendly" smile at the seemingly-timid girl.

"Ohayo Ururu-chan!" she said cheerfully.

Ururu smiled, "Ohaa."

Urahara smiled too, "Yoruichi-san has something to ask you."

"Yoruichi nodded encouragingly, "Where did you get the new fragrance for Kisuke's bath?" she asked, "I really like it, and I wanted to have some for myself too, but Kisuke said he didn't know what it was!"

"Anou, "Ururu looked back and forth between them. "It's nepeta cataria...i don't remember where I got it...sorry.."

"Nepeta cataria?" Yoruichi tilted her head curiously, "Sounds vaguely familiar, but I'm not sure. Kisuke? You're the one who's all into chemicals and stuff," she turned to her blond-haired partner in crime.

He looked to the ceiling as if the answer would be there, "anou...nepeta cataria...it's a weed in the mint family.. eh....why would they make bubble bath out of weeds..?"

"Why ask me? I don't know why anyone would make anything out of weeds, I just know it smelled sooooooo good," her eyes glazed over a little at the memory.

He smiled in sudden realization, "thank you, Ururu-chaaaan." He rushed back further into the shop, dragging Yoruichi behind him.

"Kiskeeee!" she objected, "What are you doing! She didn't answer my question yet!"

He slid into his room and slid the door closed behind them. "I realized what it was..."

"Soooo.....what is it then?" she tugged at his sleeve, "Don't leave me hanging here Kisuke!"

He laughed nervously, "It's common name is catnip."

"Cat...nip?" she raised an eyebrow, "Are you telling me that I reacted to it...in this form?"

He continued the nervous laugh as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "But, think of all the fun we had."

She grinned ferally, "Oh I'm not upset..." she said, "Just a little surprised. Humans aren't supposed to have any reaction to catnip, ne?"

"But, you're speeeecial," he smiled resting his forehead on hers.

"Okay," she giggled, "Just as long as nobody else finds out...I don't like having my weaknesses broadcast, you know."

"I also hate to say 'I told you so', hahaha" He giggles and hugged her tightly.

"what do you mean "I told you so" Kisuke?" she raised an eyebrow.

"Let's get naked, again." He giggled.

"That doesn't answer the question," she pointed out.

He sighed. "I warned you staying too long in cat form would have weird side effects." He pouted a little and whined, "Now can we get naked?"

"Are you worried it was just because of the catnip?" she snuggled up to him, taking his hands and moving them down to the tie of her top, "that would be a very silly thing for you to think."

"I don't worry about a lot of things," he admitted, letting her guide his hands. He yanked on the string that took her so long to tie earlier.

"Or so you say," she said, her hands slipping inside his top to run over his back and sides.

He shivered against her touch. "I also say a lot of things..." he whispered, his hands mimicking hers along her back and sides. The warmth coming from her skin was inviting and he wanted to wrap the warmth around himself like a blanket. A warm Yoruichi shaped blanket. Mmm, he liked that idea.

Yoruichi didn't bother with the ties of his top, just pushed it off from the shoulders, kissing his neck as she wrapped herself around him.

"Ara ara," Urahara giggled, "I got me a Yoruichi..."
