Hey I did this for myself a while ago from one of the girl's diaries on Jesus Diamante. The translation is loose, but it shows basically step by step how to do the hair styles. This is what I follow to do my hair like that. Sorry the text is kinda fuzzy>_< I dunno how that happened.

1. hair should be half damp. color something beige?
2. curl the top with (brand) curlers, then curl the left, right, and back with curlers. let (heat?) while doing make up.
3. do the next four...
4. wrap in a turban for 20 minutes. keep top curlers in longer because you want volume.
5. (turn off?) the heat and spray inside (something).
6. finish straightening and winding (?)
your fringe and (?).

2. curl top with "four" curlers. let "set" while doing your makeup.

5. i have no clue lol but it involves spraying volume spray on your roots and backcombing under neath the showing curls
6. finish by winding hairs around your fingers to perfect the curls, or something like that, and pulling them down to loosen them a bit, and you're finished:)

That 2nd girl is Kao from Jesus Diamante and i agree i dont think shes that cute but she seems very sweet unlike the other gals.
