Fic Search, AU, during the war -- FOUND! :)

Hallo! I've just joined this community, and am looking for a fic that has completely disappeared from my bookmarks :(

I'm looking for a fic I read on LJ several years ago (I don't know if the author had it posted anywhere else, but that's where I read it), it was in three parts. It might have been written before the seventh book was published, I don't know, but it certainly was set in an AU that did not include the seventh book.

It was set during the war, which had turned into a three-way affair with the Death Eaters, the Order of the Phoenix, and the Ministry all on different sides. The Ministry spent more effort pursuing the Order members than the Death Eaters and the Order was not doing well for itself. Draco had been on the side of the DE, but defected (I believe to help Hermione escape after being captured by them?) to the side of the Order. He was killed before the start of the story. At the opening of the story, Snape is a DE, but not with incredible firmness. The story begins with Hermione at the door to Snape's house, holding her and Draco's daughter, tired to the bone and needing a place to stay briefly as she has been on the run for several day whilst trying to throw off pursuit. She asks for a place to stay on the strength of their shared affection for Draco. Snape grant it. Several more times Hermione (sometimes with, sometimes without her daughter) stays over with Snape. Their relationship evolves into a romantic/sexual one eventually, despite nominally being on different sides of this war. I believe at the end Snape makes a decision which is beneficial to the Order whilst being harmful to the Death Eaters.

Other incidentals that aren't plot-related which I recall are:
*Ron was in charge of strategy, he and Luna were together.
*Snape gave Daughter marbles at some point. Hermione asked Snape to keep them at his house since they were a noisy toy and they could ill afford non-essential noise.
*I think Ron came to get Hermione at the house at some point? And he and Snape interacted? And Ron had matured greatly since the books? Not positive that this actually happened in this story...

It was a very excellent story with a wonderful study of grey areas and loyalties and I have had exactly zero luck on finding it myself. I would very much love to find it again, and would appreciate any help you can give me on the matter.

I read this fic a while ago and i cannot find it
anywhere, i am positive it was on ashwinder
but i searched and couldnt find it..

It's about hermione and ron and harry, draco, crabbe, goyle...
and they all dare eachother to do something and they are binded
to it and if they dont complete the dares the get turned into worms* or something
and the contract ends on graduation...

I am currently writing a story that takes place in Norway (Skipping out), and they are going to travel between Trondheim and Alta and also Svalbar, and if you have been there or live somewhere there I would like a short description of places, people whatever that I can put into my story. I went through a SS/HG reading binge a few weekends ago and I thought that I bookmarked a story but it was another that I marked twice. I cannot remember the title of it but I do remember how it started.

It started with Harry looking out a window of Grimmauld Place and seeing someone struggling with a bundle as they crossed the street. It turns out that it was Severus and when Harry met him in the entrance hall his saw an arm slip out of the cloak/blanket that Severus was carrying and the arm was very thin and emaciated. It turns out that it was Hermione who had been kidnapped months before and everyone had thought that she was dead. Severus managed to finally rescue her and then she developed and attachment to him as she recovered.

If anyone could help me find this story I would really appreciate it.

The story was Hinge of Fate by Ramos.

I'm pretty sure this is on Aswinder but I've been combing through there and it hasn't turned up.

Basically Hermione goes to the infirmary because she thinks she has the flu. Turns out she is pregnant because she was raped by Snape during some Death Eater attack - and she lost her memory or was obliviated (I think). Snape is hiding in the castle and has a weak heart which Hermione makes a potion for with the help of Pomphrey.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

I'm looking for a fic where Snape sends Hermione away to gain real world experience. They write letters back and forth. For some weird reason I saved a piece of Snape's letter to Hermione but I'd really love finding the complete again.

I can only remember that Hermione is working at the Ministry of Magic, in the Potions Dept., after the war. Snape needs one of his potions to get Ministry approval, which Hermione is in charge of. I think beforehand he had insulted her somehow about her job, so he was pretty nervous that she'd just ignore his request. And Hermione agrees to help him, if he agrees to go to some of the ministry's balls (which she has been ordered to do by her boss). Snape reluctantly agrees to go. And I believe at one point, he comes to her flat, before she's ready and is eating take-out.

The sky was overcast and an ethereal gloom had settled in the valley, but it wasn't entirely unpleasant. It was almost serene.

Hermione walked slowly, breathing in the misty air.

Still bloody from the final battle, filthy from head to toe with a large gash on her forehead, she knew she looked a mess, but she didn't care. Her only thought after making sure everyone was okay had been of getting to him, of meeting him here.

She smiled briefly, remembering their last night together. His fingers on her skin, touching her, loving her in a way she knew no one, herself least of all, would have thought possible.

Hermione shivered slightly and closed her eyes for a moment, though she didn't stop walking. She wouldn't stop until she could see him, hold him... love him.

A light rain began to fall, barely distinguishable from the surrounding mist.

The hill loomed closer and Hermione's heart leapt, though she forced herself not to run. He would be there.

She thought back to their first real date. He brought her here, to the valley and this hill and she thought he was insane. It had been late afternoon, dreary and overcast much like it was right now.

But he led her up this hill and at the top lay a blanket and a picnic basket.

She'd smiled, more amused than anything, but they'd had an enjoyable dinner. And then, after night fell, the sky cleared, offering the most gorgeous view of the stars Hermione had ever seen. He smiled knowingly when she gasped at the sight of so many twinkling lights and they had spent the rest of the evening lying on the blanket, pointing out constellations to each other.

Hermione smiled at the memory, pushing her wet hair away from her face. She glanced down at her hands, grimacing slightly at the blood and dirt that covered them. She wiped them on her pants.

This was also where they had made love for the first time. The memory brought a flush to her cheeks.

Her previous experiences, few as they were, had always been limited to the bedroom. That afternoon, as they sat quietly, enjoying each other's company, he leaned over and kissed her neck, pushing the strap of her tank top down to caress her shoulder. She looked over and saw the look in his eyes, and smiled, silently giving her consent.

It was one of the most beautiful experiences of her life, not just because it was so different from any of her previous sexual encounters, but because of who he was. She had been able to feel the depth of his love for her and that, combined with the gorgeous setting, moved her to tears. The sight of her tears frightened him and she'd had to assure him that he had done nothing wrong. They lay underneath the blanket, and Hermione had rather felt almost like they were the only two people in the world.

She remembered his touch during their first time together, the way that only the slightest brush of his fingers on her skin had made her shiver. The way they had fit together. Everything had been so perfect that first time. Everything had been perfect since then.

Hermione wrapped her arms around her torso, imagining that it was really his arms, knowing it would be soon.

Everything had been so perfect because they had hardly seen each other; there was no time for arguing in the days that followed that afternoon on the hill.

Hermione knew once the war was over their relationship would become more real than it had been, that there would be fights, but she almost looked forward to them. She would be content to spend the rest of her life with him, and she hoped he felt the same way.

She was at the base of the hill now and she paused momentarily, gazing up at it. Glancing behind her she saw nothing but the foggy valley. It felt like the entire world had been covered by a thick shroud, creating a private oasis for them alone.

Hermione took a breath and started up the hill.

She once asked him why there was never anybody else around, how no Muggles had stumbled upon them. He said it was protected by a series of charms similar to those surrounding Hogwarts - all a Muggle would see was an overgrown field, littered with trash, surrounded by a broken fence dotted with "No Trespassing" signs. It had apparently been protected for so long that nobody thought or really cared enough to remove the spell.

That suited Hermione. She'd come to think of this place as their own and the thought of anyone tramping around and ruining the beautiful landscape was not appealing.

Hermione looked up, smiling as she saw how near to the top she was.

She hurried the rest of the way, ignoring the vague burning of her muscles, and reached the top.

It didn't take long to notice that he wasn't there.

Hermione stepped forward, to the center of the hilltop, and stared around, taking the moment to catch her breath.

She frowned slightly. It was unlike him to be late; worry began gnawing at her stomach.

The thought that something could have happened to him in battle had never crossed her mind, though she knew she should have considered it.

The rain fell heavier now, fast becoming a downpour and still Hermione stood, watching for him, waiting.

As the minutes ticked by, Hermione grew increasingly afraid. The knot in her stomach tightened and tears rose in her eyes as she nervously scanned the valley surrounding her.

And then she heard the footsteps behind her, the slightly labored breathing. She turned and there he was, water dripping from his long black hair, blood trickling down the side of his face from an unseen head wound. He took a few steps forward, limping slightly.

Hermione ran to him and he swept her into his arms, burying his face in her wet hair and holding her tightly.

They kissed and he looked at Hermione, brushing her hair from her face. She did the same for him and smiled.

"I was afraid you weren't going to make it," Hermione whispered.

"Nothing could keep me from you," Severus murmured in reply and they kissed again, tasting salty tears and coppery blood and clean rainwater.

Their lips met again; it felt like kissing the rain - like rejuvenating the senses. For the moment, everything was perfect again.

Looking for a Fic

I'm almost positive I read this on Ashwinder, but I can't remember the title or author. It's a short story, a one-shot probably. Hermione finds a mirror, a small mirror, and she finds it shows Snape. She researches it, believing its one of those akin to the Mirror of Erised, and suspects/learns this is a mirror that is supposed to show your one true love. She eventually feels guilty she's watching Snape unaware, although doing so she's fallen in love with him. She puts the mirror away, and years later Snape, married to her, finds it and asks why she enchanted a mirror to always reflect her--she laughs, knowing it means she's his true love too.

NEW DETAIL I REMEMBERED:

There's a story I read a while back, and I can't remember what is was called. I forgot whether is was on FF.net or Ashwinder. In it Malfoy Sr. begins to teach at Hogwarts and brainwashes Hermione and turns her into his "Slave?" He abuses her, emotionally and physically, and Severus finds out and helps her get over it.

**I REMEMBERED SOME NEW DEATILS!

Hermione and Severus go stay at this tower in the castle that is isolated from everyone else. Hermione has a garden there and tends various plants. Severus helps her realize that Malfoy Sr. never loved her, he brainwashed and abused her. Along the way of helping her, he falls in love with her.

If you know what the story is called and where I can find it, please, please, PLEASE tell me!! I'm DYING to read it again!
