Okay, so i've been a horrible maintainer since school has restarted. Sorry about that. I'm going to try to keep doing this every week but no promises. And next semester is looking to be even worse than this one.

So, in honour of the premiere of Goblet of Fire friday i've decided that this is what the challenge will be. Anything you can think of as long as it has something to do with the fourth book.

“Draco, it was your idea to go to McDonalds for your birthday. We’ll never get to eat if you just keep standing there!” Hermione pushed Draco toward the seats and told him to go sit down.

She brought two cheeseburgers, some onion rings, and two sodas over to the table a few minutes later. Draco stopped gawking at the restaurant and attacked his food.

“Wow this really is good. Maybe muggle food isn’t so bad after all.” Draco said as he ate his last onion ring.

Sorry i've been MIA lately. Life is hectic and my connection at times sucks. But anyhow, i'm back and hopefully will be able to do challenges each week.

I'm behind this week because of not only the release of HP & HBP but also because i'm having connection problems. I've had them for well over a week now so i've not even gotten to see who all participated in the Comm Unity challenge. Once it's back to normal i'll check :)

First off thanks to those of you who participated in the challenge last week. I may not know who you are yet, but i'll find out soon. This week is just a free for all on the challenge front. “Stay, please,” Hermione begged Severus, although she knew it was futile.

Severus pulled on his cloak. “I’ll be back soon,” he promised.

She grabbed his forearm, pulling him back onto their bed. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she clung for dear life... his life. “And if I go into labor?”she asked, desperately searching for something, anything that would make him stay.

“My love, you have two months yet.” Severus kissed her lovingly on the mouth. “I’m going out there today to better the world for our child.” He bent down and kissed her belly. “I love you...both.”

This week for the challenge this community has banded together with 22 other communities. Each and every one of us will be doing the same challenge yet they will all be so very different. Apart from the vast assortment of communities we have a variety of characters, couples and houses. We also have five that aren't 100 word drabble communities.

The challenge that the mods have decided on is WAR. This is actually very fitting since Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is due out in a week and the war will probably play a big part in the upcoming books. *Not a spoiler, just my opinion*

I have a few things to say that go along with this challenge so bear with me okay?

First off:
No Spoilerish Drabbles
No cross-posting your drabbles to other communities that have banded together in this. It's unfair to post your drabble at various communities that are involved just so you don't have to write more than one. It's unfair to not only the communities but to the mods. Please, if your a member of more than one community listed below write a drabble for each.
Do more than one. Try to write more than one drabble for whatever communities you really enjoy. Make them different or make them a series.
Have fun with it. Enjoy yourself.
Check out the posts on the other communities. See what others are offering.
Leave Feedback. To write 100/200 word drabbles takes quite a bit and if you like someones drabble let them know they did a good job. Give them the proverbial pat on the back and say "hey I liked this. You did a good job." because how will they know otherwise? I mean seriously 100/200 word drabbles are much harder in someways than longer fics. As those of you who actually write them know.

I bet your asking why we're doing this, well i'll tell you. I got the idea two and a half weeks ago and thought that maybe if I could get some other communities to join in on one challenge we could:
garner more members
boost drabble posts
pimp our fellow bretheren
And most importantly I think that we could have quite a bit of fun.

I challenge each and every member of this community to write at least onedrabble for this challenge. This is for each and every member, whether your an active writer or a lurker. Write ONE drabble at least and help us pull this Community Unity Challenge off and make it a success.

Now, for something new: From now the person that posts the most drabbles for the week will get to pick the upcoming weeks challenge. Yes, you will be able to choose the next challenge. If your not sure what you would like the challenge to be just let me know and i'll have a few for you to choose from. Because of this I am going to start ending the challenge on Saturday nights and that way the member that gets to choose will have till Sunday to let me know what the new challenge will be.

With Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince coming out July 16th I thought I'd better come up with a plan regarding spoilers and drabbles with spoilers in them.

Now, I myself have absolutely no desire what so ever to see, hear or read something that is remotely spoilerish. So this will take affect immediately and will be put on the info page when I get my arse in gear after letting everyone know what the new challenge for the Comm Unity challenge is.

The Rules regarding Spoilers:
No OT posts with Spoilers.
Now I know no one posts OT posts anyhow but i've had the misfortune of having someone on a mailing list put who died in OotP in the subject header so everyone could read it. If anyone does this they will be banned, no explanations needed or wanted.

No Drabbles with Spoilers
I have decided not to allow any spoilerish drabbles until August 1st and even then until either we do a poll to see if everyone has read it or we deem it's okay all spoilerish drabbles have to be under a lj-cut.

When spoiler drabbles are allowed along with the title in the subject you will need to clearly mark the drabble as SPOILERISH to let everyone else know.

I will ban people who don't follow the spoiler rules. I hope you don't think i'm being hard-arsed about this but this is really for the good of all the HP fans. This way no one gets unnecessarily spoiled and has their enjoyment of the book ruined.

Now I hate to be the horrid mod here but I'm going to be a stickler for these rules.

So please guys, follow the rules. I don't want to ban anyone. If you write Spoilerish drabbles just wait till August first to post them. Thanks!!

Hermione watches him struggle to breathe, watches him as life seeps out of him.

Every part of her aches to go comfort Blaise in his final moments, to kiss the tears away and to devour his death.

But she can't reveal herself to her 'friends', can't let them know that she's turned down another road. So she watches him die, looking at him with compassion and love in her eyes.

The Dark Mark that burns under her arm, stamped on her ribcage, reminds her of the sacrifice she made to join them.

Breathe.

So she watches her beloved, Blaise, die.

“Today is a good day to repent, Hermione; come,” Ron held out his hand.

“Today is a good day to die, Weasley. Avada Kedavra!!!”
