And I don't even have all that much to tell...
Work proceeds apace. I get the impression people are quite satisfied with me, but with the current situation, it's still not certain I'll get an extension on my contract.
The orchestra I play in will be taking part in a competition in a week. This means that for the past month, there has been a lot of extra rehearsals. This is fun in its own way, but it's also exhausting, and it doesn't leave me much time to myself.
Despite that, some remarks on some TV shows (not really all that spoilery, cut for length reasons):

And finally, I've still been writing. I may have mentioned this before, but I was struck by a Blood Plus plotbunny. I'm currently 11.000 words in and still not finished, but I'd love to have someone look at it and tell me whether it sucks or not. Anyone interested?

Oh crap, this song makes me want to bawl like a baby. It's one of the many songs I'll be using to make an EPIC NANOWRIMO MIX, which will hopefully motivate me to stick with my novel this year. Many of the songs I have on the list are such downers that I suspect I'll probably end up weeping when I should be plotting and typing furiously, hehe. And yes, it is so epic it requires all caps. It's only at 56 songs so far but I'm confident I can pass my personal 187 song count milestone if I put my mind to it. Don't know if I want to burn however many CDs that amounts to, however. Perhaps throwing every song I possess into the mix isn't the best game plan.
Actually, I usually associate this song with the fic I'll be writing... but right now I'm just thinking about my own mother. She's out of the state right now with her sister and I miss her quite a bit. Sitting alone in my room listening to heart-wrenching songs about mothers likely isn't the best idea, all things considered. Putting it on repeat probably isn't wise either. |

One of my latest musical obsessions is Les Miserables. I recently discovered that I had the Original Broadway Soundtrack on my iPod. Don't ask me how I got this without knowing it was there. Anyway, like most of my obsessions I spend a lot of time reading about it online. My reading led to this
Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed this. And not a week ago I was just thinking how awesome this song would be for the campaign. I think I will watch it over and over.
In other news, I finally got my Obama stuff. Five buttons, a car magnet, a t-shirt, and a sign. I am pretty excited. I don't know if I can wear it to work though.
