What?
heroes_fest is a fanfiction festival inspired by communities such as wilson_fest and spn_ficathon. I couldn't find a general Heroes fic community that was currently active, and I got some feedback from people who said they would like to participate in one, so here we are. The point of
heroes_fest is to give story ideas, write fics, and share them with people who enjoy Heroes as much as you do. Who?
This community is for everyone! Even if you've never written a fic before, feel free to join and try your hand at it. Even if you don't plan on writing a fic, join! This community is based on prompts, so if you can't write your own story (or if you can) but you have a plot idea to share, let's here it!
When?
Round Three:
Prompt Submission: August 2- August 23
Claiming Period/Writing Period: August 24- October 18
Posting Period: October 19- November 1
Extensions: November 1- November 15
All Dates are Subject to Revision
How?
If you've never participated in a fanfiction fest before, you're probably wondering, how does this all work? Here's what happens. First, join the community. Read the rules, the profile, etc. The usual. Then, submit prompts. A prompt is just a story idea. Ex. "Isaac and Simone's first date" or "Sylar obtains a new power." Once a good number of prompts are collected, submission will be closed and the claiming period will begin. Members may claim prompts that they would like to write fanfictions based on. This will be followed by a writing period when the members will have time to write their fics. Finally, there will be a posting period, where members may post their fic to the community for everyone else to read.
What Else?
Pimp this comm! Do you have friends who write fic? Know some huge Heroes fans? Tell them, ask them to join. The more members we have, the more prompts and fics we'll have, and the more fun it will be!
