What counts as Heroes femmeslash?
(a.k.a. what this community welcomes)

Fanwork featuring any of the Heroes female characters in femmeslash or pre-femmeslash relationships: fic, fanart, icons, graphics, manips, fanvideos, etc. Genderswap fic (i.e. Niki/girl!Peter or girl!Mohinder/girl!Sylar) and crossovers (i.e. Claire/Rogue from the X-Men) fall into this purview. All ratings are accepted.

Fanwork featuring any of the Heroes female cast in femmeslash or pre-femmeslash relationships: fic, fanart, icons, graphics, manips, fanvideos, etc. Genderswap fic (e.g. Tawny/girl!Adrian or girl!Greg/girl!Jack) and crossovers (e.g. Ali/Grace Park from Battlestar Galactica) also fall into this purview. All ratings are accepted.

Meta and discussion about the female characters or cast of Heroes and their relationships: speculation, ’ship manifestos, general squee.

Media (video and graphical) featuring the female characters or cast of Heroes and their relationships: articles/interviews/video clips with subtexty quotes or interactions are definitely encouraged, picspams of the cast or characters, subtexty episode clips, etc.

What doesn’t count as Heroes femmeslash?
(a.k.a. what this community doesn’t want)

Threesome pairings are welcome, but please use your best judgment; if the pairing is Niki/Simone/Peter but Niki and Simone get no real air time in the fic/vid/etc.? Probably not appropriate for this community.

Icons/graphics basically are only required to feature two Heroes women in the same frame; they don’t have to be touching/etc. But ensemble icons that incidentally feature two women, not so much.

No advertisements. Ask a mod before posting one; in all likelihood, it’ll be approved, but if you don’t ask permission it will be deleted without warning.

No wank or character/pairing bashing. We all have different preferences and squicks; everyone’s must be respected.

[ What to LJ-Cut ]

All fanfiction, no matter the length.

Any more than three icons.

Any more than one small to medium thumbnail preview for fanart/picspams/manips etc.

Any more than one embedded video.

In consideration of other members, please keep everything outside the cut worksafe.

Anything that spoils for any episode of the current season.

Please be considerate and limit the length of your author’s notes and summaries. Also, we will not be allowing any fanfiction that links to a locked entry; linking to an entry that will be locked later is fine; it simply must be public at the time it’s posted.

Regarding ratings, do rate fic and art. Manips, fanvids and icons only need to have a rating note attached if they contain adult material in them that doesn’t appear on the show or other mature themes.
