Welcome to our virtual cookbook, containing recipes from members and friends of the Cerebral Hens Network. The hens are a group of Alan Rickman fans from all corners of the world.

Although definitely not required, you'll likely find plenty of Alan Rickman references sprinkled generously throughout the pages of this journal!

Before posting, please take a moment to read these special instructions for posting to this community.

Because the creator of this community is extremely anal retentive and a control freak it's important that the recipes posted all contain consistent information, and are formatted and dislayed in the same manner, we've developed a special procedure for formatting your recipe for posting to the community.

This process involves the use of a simple data entry form for capturing all of the required information for your recipe, formatting it, and tagging it properly. Please follow these steps for posting:

1.  To gain posting access, join this community

2.  To prepare and format your recipe for posting, use this special form. Don't worry, you can't break anything by playing with this form. For your convenience, you will always find a link to this form in the left hand sidebar of this site.

3.  COPY and PASTE the information output from that form when you make a post to the community. Your recipe will come out beautifully formatted and properly tagged into the database.

• Community is open to members and friends of the Cerebral Hens Network
  
  
• Post as many recipes as you'd like
  
  
• Post ONLY recipes as entries to the community. Hold unlimited and unrestricted discussions in the comments of each recipe.
  
  
• Photos in posts are not necessary but allowed. Photos must be placed AFTER all provided HTML code and should not be wider than 350 pixels in width. Gratuitous photos of Alan Rickman are not necessary or suggested unless they relate directly to your recipe, but if so, please include them by all means. There are plenty of Alan Rickman photos to be found on the Cerebral Hens Network
  
  
• Ultimately we would like to create a printed book from this recipe collection. Keep this in mind. *snort*
  
  
• Measurements and temperatures vary in recipes from different parts of the world. For your convenience, link to a conversion calculator is always present in the left hand sidebar of this site.
  
  
• Recipes have extensive tagging to allow for easy browsing based on a variety of characteristics, including recipe type, main ingredient, other characteristics (lowfat, lowcarb), LJ user, or country.
  
  
• A special post has been created for making requests, reporting problems, or asking questions or for help. Please do so in the comments of this post.
  
  
• catsplay is the moderator of this community and reserves the right to edit or delete any posts, or control access to the community as she sees fit.
  
  
• If you would like some cool Alan Rickman food related icons to use when posting to the community, grab some here, but please credit the creator.
