When I talked to Gene Pablucki in May he said Angelcorpse would have an EP recorded by the end of the year, so be on the look out for that. Also there are two new members of Angelcorpse. Kelly McLauchlin of Pessimist fame on second guitar, and Paul Collier is the new drummer. |

So something on the Osmose Website from our friend...
"Helmkamp here. Everything is going great for the "Of Lucifer and Lightning" recording. John Longstreth has created some hammering drums for us to work with, and Gene and I are hard at work tracking guitars, bass and vocals for the album. We promise that "Of Lucifer and Lightning" will be the most extreme ANGELCORPSE album to date. Of course this sounds cliche and what every band might say after 're-forming' after several years, but we say fuck off to all of that: ANGELCORPSE has never been like those other bands and this album will certainly show that to be true. Beware: Antichrist Vanguards advance!"
Seems to me all's well, and what a promise!!! We might have to take you up on that one Pete!
I wonder if they are ever gona update the Angelcorpse website....

John Longstreth has reunited with Gene Palubicki and Pete Helmkamp to complete the original ANGELCORPSE lineup. The new ANGELCORPSE record "OF LUCIFER AND LIGHTNING" to be released tentatively in Spring 07'. |

In light of recent Internet activity I am writing to let the world know about the status of Angelcorpse. The post made on Blabbermouth.net on August 20th was only partially correct. Angelcorpse is reforming, however, the band is currently comprised of myself and Gene Palubicki. We are auditioning drummers as well as second guitarists. ANGELCORPSE is currently working on two albums' worth of new material with its new drummer Gina Ambrosio. "We will be re-signing with Osmose Productions," guitarist Gene Palubicki said in a statement. "We have not decided on what date we will enter the recording studio but it will be sometime before the end of the year. The new material is as brutal as ever, and so is our new drummer. I named her the corpse-skin death-drummer. MP3s will be available prior to the full-length album release for 2007."
ANGELCORPSE 2006 is:
Gene Palubicki - Guitar
Pete Helcamp - Bass, Vocals
Gina Ambrosio - Drums
Palubicki will be recruiting a new second guitarist, to be announced at a later time. |
