To avoid making this a totally useless comment, I'm totally psyched about the designs. I read all the manga up to volume 5 before ever seeing the anime, and had a mega artcrush on the style. I had imagined how even more AWESOME Hirano's designs would look in motion and color, so I was actually quite disappointed in the relative quality of the anime, not to mention the bizarro colors and made-up plot. Incognito was a nightmare; who did the concept art for that guy?!

So yeah, these are definately reassuring. They look more like what I always imagined Hellsing could be. ;_;

I love the way Alucard is looking. Annnnd I really love Blood Seras. Seras has become one of my most favorite characters becasue of ehr change. She changed: awsome.
Aber... I'm scared they might make her too buff. @__@ I still want her to have SOME girly aspects. @_@_@_@ Not big boobs and muscles!! That's just intimidating and strange!! *explodes*

It looks to me like they softened Integra's nose and sharpened Seras' nose. WTF? 0_o

I do like the designs overall, though. They look dynamic. This OVA series should have some pretty fluid animation. That was one of the TV series' biggest visual failings. The animation was static, even at the best of times. You rarely got the impression that Alucard was the wild, chaotic, magical creature he is, except when he did his "mass of eyes" thing like when he fought Luke. He looked pretty stiff most of the time. I can't really fault Gonzo for it, because most TV series are like that...

But since nearly everyone in Hellsing wears flowing/tattered clothing and Alucard has hair that is almost always writhing like a mass of snakes, fluid animation is very important for this project. If they can make everything look alive and wild and fluid, then I'll be quite happy.

I have my doubts about Anderson. Need a no psycho pic of him. But I am better after checking Integral does have a nose and a pretty eye design (Seras looks less chubby in that pic too. Very nice).

I've seen some of episode 1 of the OVA and it's a lot more manga-styled and less cutesy... well, atleast, young integra. In fact it looks quite impressive. And Richard is sooo creepy. Like, really really creepy.
The animation looks very smooth, very fluid, which makes for the lovely flame effect in the trailer.
Get me some Pip sketches! I must see the pipishness! *grin* J'ai deteste l'Ougande!
I remember the oddest things. I just said 'I hate Uganda.'
Lovely ne? I personally have no issue with Uganda but the theory says that Pip lost his eye there, so...
I'll stop rambling.
