An Anna film I would dearly love to see, but I've done some rooting and it appears its completely out of circulation.

An adaption of the Nabokov book of the same name, Anna is in the role of Margot.

Albinus is a respected art critic, who lives in Berlin. He lusts after the 16-year old Margot whom he meets at a cinema, where she works, and seduces her over the course of many encounters. His prolonged affair with Margot is eventually revealed to Elisabeth when Margot sends a letter to the Albinus residence and Albert is unable to intercept it before it is discovered. This results in the dissolution of the Albinus' marriage. Margot uses him to become a film star, her ambition in life. Albinus introduces Margot to Axel Rex, but he does not know the two had previously been lovers. Margot and Rex resume their relationship, and start plotting to get Albinus out of the way, while robbing him of his money.
(plot outline from wikipedia)

Have any of you ever seen it/heard of it? I can't even find stills to whet my appetite!
Nabokov and Karina sounds like a match made in heaven to me, pity my dreams can't be realised any more.

(I've only just joined the community actually, I'm surprised at how quiet it is around here!)

If anyone is interested this website sells a DVD-R version of the impossible-to-find 1967 tv show Anna by Pierre Koralnik. I'm not trying to spam just thought there might be some interest on this blog.

YOU GUYS. GUESS WHAT I JUST FUCKING BOUGHT.

ANNA! I've been looking everywhere for that movie for two years! I know a lot of people have been searching for it, so I thought I'd post this and let everyone know. You can find it here; it doesn't have English subtitles, but I'm sure it's easy enough to follow.

She's not even dead, and what kind of name is that?

Any opinions on this?

Two questions/requests:

1. Does anyone know why Anna never had any children? And, did she have any siblings?

and

2. Does anyone have any footage of Anna speaking English? I'd love to see it

Jusqu'au bout du hasard (1998)
Golden City (1983)
On n'achete pas le soleil (1988)

Jusqu'au bout du hasard is still available, published by Grasset but the other two appear to be out of print.

Hi everyone.
I am a huge fan of Anna. I love her work, and I love her style.
I think she is a timeless style icon. Could anyone give me some tips/advice/opinions on how to get her style?

Thanks (:

If you're lucky enough to be in Paris on the 26th of October there is going to be a screening of ANNA as part of the Cite de la Musique's Serge Gainsbourg exhibition.
