When the Sunnydale hellmouth exploded, it created an earthquake, mystically, in the heart of Napa valley and the wine country. In order to make the hellmouth evil, the first reanimated Darla as its guardian, who the first could make whole again because she was staked by her own hands. Darla has all of her memories, including Connor, but like the Master, is ruthlessly evil.
In order for Darla to rise and awaken the dormant hellmouth, she needs to feed on a human, but unfortunately for her, the winery is dormant.
The winery opened almost a year later, after a wealthy young woman, who made a fortune in the late nineties selling her software stocks, decided to use her money towards her passion, wine. That woman is Connie Finn, younger sister of Riley.
Connie invites her brother and his wife Sam to the opening, where Sam stumbles upon the lower reaches of the winery and is drained and turned by Darla, which causes another earthquake, destroying the building.
Riley believes that he loses Sam to the earthquake, and is devastated but quits the military after his loss to help his sister, who uses the insurance money to open a new winery. He will never find Sam, though, because Darla, who did sire her, comes to hate her and stakes her, herself.
During the Sunnydale battle, only Kennedy, Vi and Chao Ahn survive out of the potentials. They go with Giles, Buffy, Dawn, Xander, Andrew and Willow to Cleveland, where Giles uses his limited funds to open a new slayers council near what was thought to be the only existing hellmouth left in the world. Andrew trains and becomes Kennedy's watcher, meanwhile, Faith and Wood move to Boston and hunt vamps until they fall out and Faith goes out on her own for a while. Faith goes to Europe and creates havoc for a powerful legion leader, zenking Xavier, of Belgium.
Team Angel defeats the circle of the blackthorn and thus cause Wolfram and Hart to explode, but the senior partners already smell the new game and bring back, through sacrifice, Lindsey and Lilah, who will be heading up to the Napa Valley, fully aware of their pasts. Their interests will be of causing problems for Angel, Buffy et..all and they will team with Darla and bring a friend in from the East with a lot of talents named Mickah Dylan. Darla, Lindsey and lialh will have access to the strange tunnels created after hellmouth formed, mystically and perfectly leading to all parts of the Napa Valley. Darla, will at least for a time, be the master of the hellmouth.
Wesley was not killed, but only seriously wounded by Vail, and Connor is tame concerning Angel, although he chooses to goon his own path for a while and studies at Cal/Berkeley. Connor will meet up with Kate, a SanFrancisco homicide detective and they will both discover together, their respective closenesses with Angel and will form a bond, and Wes and Illyria will become sweet close and forever.
Cordy awakes from her coma..full of her demon power, and with the visions where she continues to provide Angel, Spike, Gunn and Illyria, while Wes is recuperating, with visions. Soon enough, she will be reminded of the Sunnydale days with a vision from the powers, but will not see Darla. She will be involved with a quadrangle love that will be a main part of the plot.
Zenking Xavier will bring Penn back from the dead with a new mission after Faith causes so much destruction to his legion and the two of them will team with Drusilla and a new vampire, named Helene, with a specific goal, the hellmouth in Napa.
Kate will be a San Francisco homicide detective in this, still obsessed with the occult, obviously and will take a particular interest when things start happening at the winery.
Montauc, who's life was ruined by xavier when Xavier killed and marked his wife, will come to town, along with the Immortal, who still loves Buffy after Rome. Xavier and Faith will battle, which will lead to Spike, who had always hated Xavier and vice versa, having to make a split-second and momentous decision concerning Faith, which will lead to something monumental for Dawn.

Lindsey/Darla/Eve/Lilah is a probable theme, as are Xavier/Drusilla, and Penn/Helene, Angel/Cordy, Buffy/Riley, Wesley/Illyria, Xander/Willow/Oz, Spike/Faith. The rest are all pending. |
