AboutGreetings.
I have created this journal in the hopes that people will spark some interesting debates, conversations, and arguments.
The style of debate and discussion I am trying to promote here is more of a pub-style conversation than an up-tight academic square-off. Just kick ideas around. Shoot the breeze.
I love to debate and discuss things and am sick or moderators in communities banning and blocking people from said communities for speaking their minds. There will be none of that here. Say what you like. Post about any topic you like. However, this is condtional. See below.
The more controversial the topic, the better.
This community is not just for debating about controversial political and social issues. It is also about debating about TV shows, movies, media, anime, literature, news, ideas, music, religion and more. The theme is anti-censorship. No topic is off limits.
Anyone is free to join or comment. It will not be screened. I would encourage everyone to join and link this community as much as possible.
Do not come in this community and simply try to disrupt it. I do not want a bunch of garbage posted here just to try and derail the community. When I say people will not be banned for their ideas and opinions that does not mean you will not be banned for posting obvious disruptive material.
SNARKING FROM OTHER COMMUNITIES IS NOT ALLOWED. Apparently the above rule was a bit too understated for some. The members of this community are free to voice whatever opinion they want without getting the Westboro Baptist Church treatment. From anyone.
Suggested Guidelines
1. We are all adults here. Feel free to use profanity and colorful language.
2. We are all adults here. Please do not type in L33T, Ebonics, or **GiRl TyPe**. People have better things to do than decipher your cryptic nonsense.
3. This is a forum for debate, not personal vendetta. Do not come here just to start trouble with a specific person.
4. Pictures are always welcome. Feel free to post as many as you wish, but use common sense and LJ-Cut large pics or numerous ones.
5. Don't link your non-related communities to this one. I do not care about your Hayden Christiansen fanclub. Any community about a relevant issue, debate, or discussion is more than welcome to advertise.
6. Feel free to discuss and or show nudity, sexuality, and or violence. Please LJ-Cut Graphic Nudity for common courtesy.
7. If you are in this community or post in it, do NOT contact livejournal action if you are offended by topics or responses.
8. If you are going to post in a debate thread, at least try to have a point and not just call names.
9. Do not type 'arse' in this community. It is a fake word and makes you sound like a moron.
10. This one is the most important. This is a community for debate and discussion, NOT for people to bring their drama spats. Keep that garbage in your first period class.
11. Please do not delete other people's comments.
