Looking for someone to rescue Bella before the City of Tacoma junks her. Belladonna is a 1976 Cadillac Miller Meteor in bad shape. She's a project car. She's known to need a starter, coolant hoses and probably the lifters redone. Also the front doors need new hinges. I'm willing to let her go for Best Offer plus towing. Seats & Windows How To?
I have an '83 Cadillac Hearse which I would like to add seats in, and make the windows in the doors go up and down. I have been unable to find any manual window kits and was wondering if any one had any suggestions. Has anyone ever put seats in the back of a hearse before? I was thinking the easiest way would be to install van seats. Not sure though. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Hearse for sale in Colorado Springs
Hello all! I hope no one minds but I thought some of you might like to see that hearse that you all were helping Kristina and I consider. In addition, you can take a look at the Firestone inspection here ( http://home.comcast.net/~njr4/hearse/hearse.pdf ) P.S. Now you see why 'neighbors' aren't much problem for us owning a hearse ~ we do indeed live next door to the Addams family. ;p | | Sunday, April 26th, 2009 | 11:13 am [gothice5]

A pic of the hearse in question
I just happend to look though old photos of the E.Crawford races...and discovered I have one photo of the hearse. No... It's not Mr. Helm's. [cheeky-laugh] It's obviously the one beside it. "Happy Harry's". Given the proximity of it to some of you...maybe someone knows some specific things about this hearse that can be shared? (Shoot... Maybe "Harry" is even a member here??? lol!) | | Saturday, April 25th, 2009 | 1:46 pm [gothice5]

[waves hello] Hello! Pardon me if my post is at all inappropriate. I’m just now checking out your group here and after having read many of the entries, it seems okay that I post asking for some advice. Again…do excuse me if it isn’t. My wife and I have been admires of you folks for years; always enjoying the Emma Crawford coffin races in Manitou Springs and pining over your hearses. We've often thought it be fun to become involved but never had the time, the money, enough enthusiasm, etc. None the less, we always think about the fun it must be to own a hearse. We like to think of ourselves as ol’ Goths [smiles-humbly], so this is something that has been there for many years.
And now we have the opportunity to own a hearse…dropped right in our laps. There's a hearse for sale here in Colorado Springs and our lives support buying it right now. So we’re seriously considering it. ...and are now getting cold feet because of our “practical” personalities. However, we’re agonizing over the fact that we’ve never been in a better situation to own one and thus, it may be our only real chance to experience it. Obviously, asking friends and family will provide no experienced insight, so we thought of you folks. Thus, this post. If anyone would be willing to e-talk to me in order to help us make a decision, we’d be soooooo very grateful! A little more info about our situation; we’re looking at buying this hearse with the idea of enjoying only for a year or so, then selling it on to someone else. …accepting the loss in $’s as merely the price for a once-in-our-lives memory. Does anyone know of people who have done something similar and if so, was it a bad idea? We acknowledge the mechanical aspects of owning a used vehicle and other headaches that can come with it, which we’re prepared to handle for a year or so. After that, we think we’d start loosing interest, but would be very happy to sell it cheap so someone else who’s always wanted one could try it next. That’s our plan, at least. Does that sound unreasonable or in bad taste? I ask about “bad taste” because we really do respect you folks and your efforts regarding hearses, and don’t want to unknowingly do something that is contrary to what you folks try to achieve as a society. So I also ask; is it in bad taste for people to buy a hearse as a kind of “toy”, merely to be sold when the novelty dies off? Obviously, this shows that we know relatively nothing of being a hearse owner. …and realize we’re jumping into this on spur of the moment. But there it is; the hearse is for sale right now and our lives are right for getting it. Do we?? (c: Sincerely, Norm P.S. If anyone’s more interested in buying this hearse than us, I encourage you to do so! As mentioned, it’s in Colorado Springs and is a 1993 Buick Roadmaster Eureka. $4000. 160,000 miles. It drives nicely, considering the mileage. I’m having Firestone do a full internal inspection and can tell you the results, if interested. I believe I’ve seen it at the Emma Crawford races before, so some of you folks may actually be familiar with it. (lots of cuts on the roof) Again, if someone else is interested in buying it, please do! We’re strong believers in fate, so if it’s sold before we make a decision ~ we’ll still be very happy about it all! [bigsmiles!] | | Thursday, March 19th, 2009 | 1:49 pm [pyrotech_c3h8]

2 Hearses in an online movie!
Basically we made this video in 2 days, it is an entry for a peanut butter and jelly contest. All the other videos SUCKED and I thought "Well I can get in there and suck just as much!" actually, no, I thought "I can kick the crap out of these other entries! And I did! Long story short, yes, we really did wreck the hearse (not badly, but that skidding out scene was NOT how it was supposed to go!) and after that, I feel we deserve to win! So, here is the video, below the video are instructions on how to vote for it, which will be GREATLY appreciated. And yes, there are hearses in it, 2 to be exact... If you enjoyed it, feel free to go vote for me BY CLICKING HERE, it will be appreciated! | | Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 | 11:13 am [pyrotech_c3h8]

Hearse for Sale
When I bought my hearse, I ran into another hearse owner by accident (I passed him on the road, I did not hit him lol). I gave him my information and today he emailed me. He is selling his hearse on EBAY! The man that drove it was a retired man that used it for tailgating. He bought it for his son as a graduation gift and his son did not want it. So he kept it and completely redid it. It is the most beautiful car I have ever seen! The interior is set with rear seating, at least 4 flat panel TVs, DVD, XBox hook ups (not sure if the Xbox is included), a custom painted wooden floor board, full stereo and more! Not to mention the Sparkling Green paint and Brand new vinyl top! cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cadillac-Fleetwood-Brougham-1993-Cadillac-Fleetwood-Customized-Hearse-Limo-PIMPED_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a543Q7c39Q3a1Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c240Q3a1318QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem230301432753QQitemZ230301432753#ht_500wt_0Check it out! WAR NING: He is asking around $25,000, but in retrospect, it is mint condition with a shit ton of creature features. You would not have to spend another penny on it once you got it, that is for sure! | | Tuesday, October 21st, 2008 | 7:47 pm [madamehel]

Skull Hood Ornament
I'm in search of a good hood ornament, as someone snapped my cadilac hood ornament off. I'm hoping to find either a skull, or death riding a horse, and I'm turning to y'all to get some ideas on where to track one down, as all I'm finding is those tacky stick-on ones on ebay when I do searches (yech). Any and all help would be massively appreciated. Thanks! Jennifer (owner of Mortis) | | Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 | 2:40 pm [todiefordesigns]

Where can I list my For sale hearse?? (I am in Ontario, canada)
It is sadly time to face reality, I am going to have to get rid of my hearse. She is just to costly to keep working on, and its either my business or my hearse... She is not in great shape right now... Needs cosmetic work, a new gas tank, power steering and tires (thanks to the bloody brats on my street who keep popping them) Any ideas on where to list her locally, I am in Ontario, Canada. Local would be best because I am not sure HOW far you would want to drive her right now without power steering. Any local people want to buy a hearse to restore? contact me at sidonie@todiefordesigns.com EDIT: I cannot believe I forgot to put any other info about her! 1982 cadillac superior Hearse built on a deville chasis Black with Navy blue interior, grey draperies. Under 20,000km 6.0 litre or 368 cubic inch engine - V8 She was appraised in 2003 and I can forward findings to serious inquiries | | Thursday, July 24th, 2008 | 4:55 am [jenova_x]

Need Help
Does/Has anyone own a 1985 Cadillac Fleetwood? Claudia is sick and I need to fix her badly! I was playing a CD the other day and when it got to a loud spot, the radio, and 2 other lights started to flicker. Before I could react the 2 lights and the CD player went out! What two lights? My display for how much gas I have in the car, and the readout to the indoor and outdoor temp. I have checked the fuses, and from what I can see, they are all in-tacked. My concern is I am driving blind. I do not know how much gas I have in the car, and I have already run out of gas twice. And the CD player is just dead and I cannot get my CD out. Is it an electrical short? Do I have to rip the entire dash apart to figure out what is wrong? Or am I looking at the wrong fuse? Please help! It is very hot out and I work night shift. I do not want to be stuck somewhere in the dark or in the middle of the day in the heat. Nashville is a VERY dangerous place (seriously). | | Wednesday, July 16th, 2008 | 8:07 pm [grammar_glamour]

Sad news
I am pretty much in a position where it is stupid NOT to sell my hearse. It breaks my heart into little tiny pieces, but it is necessary. I bought it last summer and subsequently ended up moving out of state and could not take it with me, for a variety of reasons. It is now sitting in my grandparents' driveway, collecting dust. I'm not sure where to adverstise it so that a real hearse enthusiast will find it, rather than some yahoo who thinks it would be funny to have a hearse and then turns it into some kind of novelty. The hearse in question is in Las Vegas. Does anyone have any ideas? Reply to this post or e-mail me. Current Mood: sad | | Monday, June 23rd, 2008 | 8:12 pm [arma_padawan]

Denver Area Mechanic
This is a plug for the guys over at Sales Oil Company. They are located a few blocks north of Evans at South Pearl Street and Jewel. This place has been family owned and operated since the 1930's, and they are especially good with older cars. They have a drive on lift that can accommodate a hearse, and a lot of specialized equipment for handling the older engines. They have hookups and knowhow for anything from re chroming to emissions issues to figuring out why the crank windows or windshield wipers aren't working. These guys are honest and thorough. Shawn and Don can be found at; 1900 Old South Pearl 303 777 8948 They offer a 15% discount to Hearse Club Members. | | Thursday, May 29th, 2008 | 1:42 am [jenova_x]

Dead end
I looked at the new prospective hearse last Friday. The owner raved about it's "mint," "perfect," "beautiful" condition outside of the possibility that it might need some transmission work. Having seen it from a distance a few times, I believed him. It really is a stunning car. If you don't get too close. His speculation on possible transmission work somehow turned into a blown engine. That tacks an extra $4k onto the price tag. His definition of "mint, perfect, and beautiful" somehow translated into two rust spots on the body (small, but all the way through) and a shoddy repair job on an obviously once-smashed rear quarter panel. The interior was nice. He took $500 off the price tag, landing us at a firm $3500. I passed. So, I obviously got a little too excited, but oh well. This particular car is still #3 on my list of cars to own someday, but it would be way more than I can chew right now, and certainly not worth the $12,000 that he was going to ask, or even the $3,500 that he bottomed out at. He said he was going to donate it to the local museum, but later he let slip that he's going to let it sit in his garage until it turns to dust, so maybe I'll try again in a year or two. If you're really interested in investing somewhat vigorous amounts of money into a '67 Superior 3 way, let me know and I can tell you the name and number of the funeral home. | | Monday, May 12th, 2008 | 4:30 pm [sausagetree]

YABADA BABADA!!!!!
HearseCon was unforgettable! My hat goes off to all who made it work (particularly, of course, Mr. Helm) and to all who drove in from far distant lands, putting my meager 278 miles to shame. Inspired by the general good cheer of the event, I decided to call a nearby funeral home to ask what became of the 1967 Superior 3 way that I fell in love with back in 1996. This is the car that got me into hearses. When I saw it drive by my house, I said to myself, "Self, I want that." I ran into the owner a few years back and he told me he was trying to sell it for $8,000. Way out of my price range. So today I called, expecting to hear that they sold it off to the Shriners or some such tale of sadness, but the man informed me that he still has the car in the garage and that it is still in immaculate condition. He informed me that he would like to sell it for $12,000. I had decided before calling that, if he had it, I would offer him $3,500 and expect a refusal. After hearing his figure, I told him how much I loved his car and I upped my offer to $4,000. He then admitted that he was about to donate it to the local museum and that if I showed up with $4,000 he would take it. He also mentioned that the transmission makes bad noises. So now I sit here, partially ecstatic and entirely uncertain. On the one hand, this would set back the beautifying of my '67 Olds about 4 months. On the other hand, I've always loved this car, and it's worth every bit of 4k, even with a bad transmission. Also, I can still probably keep on schedule with my Olds up to the actual paint, at which point I will have to drive it in primer for a few months. Since my painter dude uses a matte black primer, that really isn't much of a loss. If I get this car, I will rent garage space to keep it in, where it will sit until I have enough money to set a mechanic on it (the Olds still gets first priority). So this is the part where I ask for advice and expect you all to tell me what I want to hear. Would you all pay $4k for a mint '67 Superior 3-way with a questionable tranny? EDIT: After a short conversation with my sagely father, what little doubt was there is gone. It's pretty much a done deal, and barring any unforeseeable holdups, the title will be transferred on the 23rd of May. I'm numb with joy. In my ecstasy I mentioned that I was asking for advice. Not really, as this is a no-brainer. I was more inviting you along to rejoice with me in my jubilation. |
