How can I increase output gain to Neckloop
Is there any device I can add to boost the output gain to the neckloop? Maybe some sort of small personal amplifier? I have a neckloop with a built in mic that I would like to use with my cell phone, the problem is, the signal is too weak, even if I increase the volume on my HA or the cell phone. If I physically put the loop near my HA, it works fine, but that sort of defeats the purpose of wearing the loop around the neck.

A standard headphone amplifier should work (though the size of the audio jacks/plugs might need to be the small one for your cellphone)

That's the sort of thing I'm referring to. You can actually build your own. Someone else here might know more about them.

I agree with the above. It should work. Though, there is a chance that your neckloop's maximum field strength is just too weak for your hearing aids... if so, you're unfortunately out of luck.

I'd try the headphone amplifier first, as it's likely to work.

Neck Loop - a no no

Don't use the neck loop. I had the same problem and refused to buy it and decided to wait awhile before something came up. The electro magnetic field was too weak for my hearing aid to pick up. Three months later a friend of mine referred me to a website "The Hearing Loss Centre" where they sell T - Links for cellphones and M- Links for music devices. The silhouette (plugs into cell phone or ipod) hangs over the ear and the telephone coil in the BTA picks up the electro magnetic field. I can hear voices nice and clear now! The only problem I don't have a M/T switch so I can't hear my voice when I talk. My next hearing aid will have that feature. There is some bluetooth technology there too. Go to http://www.hearinglosshelp.com/products/earlinks.htm#t_links Also Dr. Bauman who runs this website is very helpful in explaining what will work. My neck loop

Well, I guess I am one of the few who likes his neck loop. I have worn one for about 18 months. I use the ELI bluetooth adapter/neck loop system with my REsound BTE instruments. It works very well. The major adjustment to the hearing instruments was to point the telecoil downward, where it will pick up the energy from the loop. Otherwise, is works great.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Artone unit ot the MaxIT unit. they are about half the cost, and the Artone definetely has the better microphone.

if you're comparing artone vs. eli for telecoil-only bluetooth operation, the artone easily wins. more details here;
