Pinocchio - Walt Disney Pictures first brought the world their version of the tale of a lively little puppet who wanted to be a 'real boy' in 1940. They are celebrating the 70th Anniversary of this momentous occasion this month. (Evidently Dinsey cannot count or something.) It was their second animated feature-length film. However, Pinocchio's story was brought to Italian children in 1883, in a book called The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. Pinocchio's original story and his Disney version are very similiar, although the original has a few un-Disneylike characteristics that were not shown in their animated classic. Your challenge this month is to use pick whether you wish to use Disney's Pinocchio, OR find another source image of Pinocchio to make your header from. Disney OR Traditional puppet!Pinocchio only though. You make include other characters from the story, but Pinocchio must be the main focus.

Apparently there is a bit of nasty Malware Virus spreading through the social networking sites...including LiveJournal (of course). It targets communities, generating a mod-ish looking post informing the membership that the community is being closed, and then deletes all the community's entries. The post includes a couple of links which, when clicked, will infect the clickee, compromising their personal info as well as their f-list. Good times! [NOT!]

So...please be aware that THIS COMMUNITY IS NOT CLOSING. If you see such a post, do NOT click any of the internal links Please DO report the post to LJSupport by clicking the red flag icon or the "flag" link, depending upon your viewing option. This warning is site-wide, so please keep this in mind if you encounter strange so-called administrative messages on other communities of which you are a part.

Hey members! This is your new mod, tatertotpixie, or more affectionately, Kepi. I'll be taking over for Mike (hopefully temporarily.)
This weeks theme is tiny creatures, my particular aim is something cute and completely obviously small, it can be a frog, a butterfly, a puppy, or anything else you can think of! Sample images are provided for ideas/examples but you're welcome to use anything you like, be creative! I look forward to many challenges with everyone :)

Out of time.

I've been inundated with life, and hence can't seem to keep up on H_C. I would like to pass the reins of moderatorship to someone who can dedicate the necessary time and energy. tellemonster and phinjay are currently the co-mods, and have first dibs. However I am opening this up for additional co-mods and/or someone interested in taking the lead.
