Welcome to the first Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy slash fanfiction rating community! Here you can submit your fanfictions where readers can rate them and tell you what they thought of them :). This community is the brainchild of Krystal

milesof_martyrs) and Celeste (

complete_desire) after reading multiple fanfictions, and realizing we wanted to give them ratings! Hope you have fun here!

1. This is a Harry/Draco slashing community. Harry/Draco slash is all we want. Don't post a story if it doesn't contain HARRY/DRACO.

2. We reserve the right to give you our full opinion, like it or not. If we like it, we will show it. If we don't, we'll tell you. Don't argue with us. You're the one who joined and obviously wanted someone to rate it. So we are! We will be sure to give you constructive critacism, so you can further improve as a writer

3. Please don't steal plot ideas. Thats not the purpose of writing a fanfiction. You may elaborate it, however, if you get the authors opinion. You may also want to include a disclaimer with your fic, so people will not take Harry Potter and think it is your own (I doubt it would happen, but you never know)

4. Do not promote any communities here. Unless they are of Harry Potter essance.

5. Please fill out the proper application before you submit a fic, or rate one :).

6. All submissions require a LJ-CUT or a link. To do a LJ-Cut go <*lj-cut text= '(Name it whatever you please, title, whatever.)'>Fic in here<*/lj-cut>. Take out the *s.

7. ALL ratings are accepted here. If you do not agree with some of the following ratings (namely NC-17), please do not join and/or enter the community.

Here we will list certain terms used in the fanfiction world. Hopefully these will help you out :). We will also list our rating terms here too! :)

Age Ratings:
G: Meant for all ages
PG: Not meant for young children
PG13: It is suggested that children under 13 do not read this, but they can.
R: Children under 17 shouldn't read this. Mild sex, language, drug use, etc can be used.
NC-17: No children under 17 (yeah, like this rule is followed, haha). Sex, drugs, violence, and language can affect this rating.
(Do not use the following)
X: the same as NC-17 but only in reference to sex. No longer used by some fandoms.
XXX: Pure graphic badly-written porn -- rarely seen and not encouraged in fanfic circles.

Fanfiction Terms:
OOC: Out of character
IC: In character
AU: Alternate Universe
AR: Alternate Reality
BDSM: Bondage, Domination, Sadism and/or Masochism
Mpreg: Male pregnancy
Angst: story revolves around emotional pain, usually the main character's
NC: non-consensual sex between characters
PWP: "Plot, what plot?" or "Porn without plot"
WIP: Work in Progress
Slash: Male/Male or Female/Female relationships
Het: Female/Male relationships
Gen: no pairings, just a general story
A/A: "Action/adventure" -- a story which focuses on fight scenes.
Mary Sue: the typical annoying original female character (Male character: Gary Stu). Avoid.
Beta(ed): To edit and comment on someone else's work before it's finalized.
Canon: An adjective referring to a character, event, plotline, etc. which happened "for real" -- the actual professional source material.
Disclaimers: Usually given before the actual fanfiction, stating that the actual story and/or characters are not their own, just used for their own small story.
Fluff: lighthearted, inconsequential. A fluff fic is somewhat humorous, but more cute than humorous -- it's generally short and sweetly annoying (lol).
H/C: Hurt/Comfort. A fic in which a character is either physically or emotionally hurt by a loved one, to later be comforted, romantically or in another way.
Marauderfic: set in the time of Harry Potter's parents, centering around the adventures of his father's friends. Also known as MWPP.
Schmoop: A story rife with overt romanticism -- flowers, chocolates, candles, cutesy pet names, and ~~little to~~ no plot. I call it "fluff" myself ;).
Smut: Good, old fashioned, porn.
