| About: | What is this for? It's this simple: Harry/Draco + ANGST = OTP Which in basic terms would mean that this is a community for H/D shippers to gather and revel in angst-themed fan work whether it be art, icons, or fics. Fic searches are also welcome in this group. What is slash? Who are Harry and Draco? *sweatdrop* Good Lord, why are you here? If you don't know who Harry and Draco are please go here. The folks at HP Lexicon would be far more patient with you than I can. And slash is basically male/male or female/female pairings in fanfiction. So if this offends you, I don't want to hear it. Just kindly go away. What are the rules? 1. Membership is open to any h/d angst fan as long as you're not a git. The topics that are featured here are not going to be light and fluffy. Adult themes like suicide, toture, rape, incest and the like are more than likely going to come up more than once. So you are forewarned and while I would like to have this comm age restricted, I am not about to go policing everyone over their age and what they can or cannot read. Freedom comes with responsibility. Only you are responsible for your actions. The vast majority of fanfiction posted on this community is of a PG13-R rating, and therefore not fit for persons under the age of consent in their country of residence. This community is not responsible for underage readers. Please observe the ratings, warnings, and age of legal consent for your country. 2. All fic/art posts must also fall on the ANGST genre. This is why we are here. I will accept a combination of genres. For example, Angst + Fluff, Angst + Romance, etc. But it's plot must be solidly in the ANGST genre! I cannot stress this enough! Definition of Angst: It is very elusive. Generally fics that have major conflict at its core and plot. The goal of angst is basically to invoke a sense of heart-wrenching drama from it's readers. Angst fics can have a happy ending but the road to that is extremely arduous which makes it all the more wholly captivating. If you are posting a fic/art please have the following affixed on it: Title: Author/Artist: Rating: Warnings: Word Count: (If applicable) Disclaimer: Summary: Also all NC-17 rated fics must be friends locked. This is under lj regulations. 3. All lengthy posts must be under a lj cut tag. Fics with 300 words or more should be under a cut. 4. This community will not tolerate any flaming (negative comments about anyone or anything). Please play nice, children. 5. Please do not post beta requests, RL updates, discussion threads (H/D or otherwise), community pimpage, website pimpage or anything off topic. There are comms for that sort of thing, this is not one of them. 6. NO PLAGIARISM! If I find out you are a known plagiarist you will be banned from the community with much gleeful laughter from me. Having been plagiarized myself in the past, I will not stand for any fuckwit who steals other people's work! Are there any fic/art challenges? Yes there will be weekly challenges going out. These challenges are going to be based on a phrase, quote, picture, anything really. But they all should be written in the angst genre. Deadlines for challenges would be the Sunday the week after the challenge was cast. On that Bloody Sunday, a new challenge will go out as well.
