Jean didn’t need an alarm clock to wake him up the next morning. He only got a couple hours of sleep...

This is an idea I got for the 100_situations LJ group. For several reasons, I decided not to pursue that, but I liked the idea, so I kept it in the back of my brain for a while. I kept thinking about what I wanted to do with the plot, but I couldn’t come up with a hook.
That is, until I bought Fullmetal Alchemist Art Book 2. There was a pic that shows Havoc and Breda in a nearly identical pose as the Mustang and Hughes academy pic. It was the start I needed.
It’s eventually going to be Havoc x Mustang, but the prologue sets the tone for Havoc and Breda’s friendship through it all.

A word of warning. It’s manga-based, and I’ll follow the manga as best I can. I don’t want to copy the dialogue. I want it to be about what’s between the pages. But there will be spoilers for the whole manga, including chapters 38-40.

This is a prologue, a little teaser for the rest of the story. Enjoy!

I am looking for a copy of the Mike McFarland unplugged concert on Saturday Night at Anime Weekend Atlanta. It doesn't really matter how I get the copy, I can pay to burn it on a DVD and ship it to me, or we can set up a torrent, or just zip it an email it.
But I would really like a copy for a friend of mine who was planning on going but had to back out at the last minute.

Well, this is it. The last of the 12_fics. It took a little over 4 months to finish, and I want to thank everyone who stick with me. I re-read the series, and this is my favorite by far. It may be one of my favorite fics. It isn't perfect- there are still a few parts where the wording may be slightly awkward, but after editing it over and over, this is what has come out.

So, is that truly the name Hoenheim gave to his first son? And is this right? Did Mike voice that one or two lines he had? ( I need to go watch it again now, darnit!)
