I'm also going to extend my congratulations to all the participants. Every story had at least one vote, and the difference between awards was, in some cases, only a matter of a few votes. There were several stories that were competing for third place. Truly, you're all winners!

And to thank the authors for participating in the challenge, [info]taliosi_x created the following banners! Please feel free to pick your favourite, and if you don't have web-space, I've provided links for each image.

Over the next few days, I'll be editing posts to reflect author and beta names.

There were numerous comments and suggestions. I picked a few that I thought needed answering:

I loved the challenge. The fics were really good. I would suggest a universal beta for the challenge because some fics had small errors. I would love to see this again. The organizers and participants have my kudos.

I too believe that most of the stories were in need of a beta reader. Your suggestion of a general challenge beta reader, or even several beta readers, is noted.

This was a great challenge. I think it could have been better, if the minimum word count was set. In that way, it would give all the contestants a more equal chance. Part of my decision for the best, I considered the length of the entries.

That's an interesting perspective and a minimum word count of 1,000 words was set for just that reason. I realize that 1,000 words wasn't much of a minimum word count, however, such a low count was set to get greater participation. We only had five stories that were over 15,000 words. It would have been a disappointing challenge with just five stories!

Can we please have a radio button poll next time? I had to open a new window so that I could double-check the titles of the stories I wanted to vote on.

I was going to take a page from [info]mahaliem and answer this, Dear Voter. *g*

Although I understand not wanting to scroll up for the story title, radio buttons are impossible, because although you are unable to see *who* voted in a radio poll, the percentages are still visible. As far as I know, text entry is the only way to make a poll completely anonymous and non-visible.

I loved it, but man, next time more time to read! I am bleary eyed :-P

Noted. :-)

I want to thank everyone for pimping, reading, voting and leaving feedback. Thank you to [info]lapetite_kiki and [info]taliosi_x for their wonderful covers and for being so very enthusiastic about this challenge. Also thanks to [info]talitha78 for offering two vid trailers (two!) for second place.

I'm going to finish this off with another comment from the poll that pleased me greatly: This was an awesome challenge and I applaud it. Anything that gets fandom into writing Clex is wonderful and I hope there are more to come.

Oh, gosh! I'm so stunned! And I get a vid! I'm so excited that I can't stop using exclamation points!!!

Question: do I get to use the banner that says "winner" or is that just for the first place person? Either way, I can't wait to tell everyone I know that I came in second in this awesome challenge, and I'd so love to do this again!

Yay!!! Congratulations on your win. So--I owe you a vid. :) Let me know if you have any particular inspirations you were drawing on when writing the story that you think would translate well visually or musically. For instance, any movies that spring to mind that I could use as source material? I definitely welcome your input.

I'm so excited! "Don'cha" was one of the first SV vids I ever watched and the first one that I ever downloaded to keep so I could watch it whenever I wanted to. *g*

Most of my inspiration, other than clicking numerous times on that awesome cover, came from the episode "Talisman". I can't really think of any movies that you could use, I'm terrible at stuff like this! Musically, I'm very much a fan of Bon Jovi, Hoobastank, Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park...maybe you could find something by one of them to help you?

Thank you for your willingness to put forth the effort for TWO vids!

I just wanted to say congrats to all the winners (all of you are.)
I think it takes special talent to step outside the usual sv plot box and produce something unique ,and all the authors did that, they stepped outside their comfort zone and dug deep into their creativity and wrote some really original stories.I really commend that.

This challenge was seriously a wonderful idea. Not only did I consume all the fics in a matter of days (good timing and excellent motivation), but it's actually gotten me reading Clex again, which has been more miss than hit with me for the past few months or so.

So thank you [info]teot for devoting so much time and energy into doing this, and thanks to everyone who participated, in any capacity. I honestly haven't seen that many comments on stories in this fandom in quite a while.
