| harlequin_sga, the folk who were smart enough to see that the Harlequin Challenge at sga_flashfic needed to be extended *g*, has graciously agreed to affiliate with us!
Regarding the monthly challenges that I warned told you about, the first challenge will be announced today and I will announce further challenges on the 15th of each month. If a bunny strikes you after we've moved on to a new a challenge, don't let that deter you. You may still write for any of the older challenges. When you post your fic (or a link to your fic), please indicate that it's for a challenge, and which one, so that I can Memory it properly. [Fic will be Memoried according to fandom and pairing, and if it's a challenge fic, according to the challenge, as well.] If you don't remember what else needs to be in the subject line or header, please read the rules on the community info page. *rubs hands together* Okay, first challenge coming right up! *g* | |

| I'll stop spamming my flist after this, promise. And if this isn't allowed here, I apologize. I'm just not sure where to turn.
I need a beta for a long!fic I wrote a while back. Coming Together is an Angel/OFC romance and I need someone to look it over for grammar and punctuation. This baby is novel length at 295 pages and around 130,000 words. I want to post it here, but I can't do that until I know I won't embarrass myself. I know I was rather comma-tose when I wrote this. It's one of my first fics. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,

| We’re a multi-fandom community created for the sole purpose of encouraging you to ‘harlequinize’ your fandom. Write fanfic, create cover art, make icons.... What brought this crack on, you ask? Well, first there was the Harlequin Challenge at sga_flashfic, which was the impetus for the creation of harlequin_sga as well as the theme for the second round of ts_ficathons, and which has ultimately led to the creation of this community, because we think every fandom deserves to be harlequinized. *g* To keep things interesting, the mods will post a challenge topic once a month (eg, amnesia, left holding the baby), but non-challenge posts are not only welcome, they are encouraged. We’re open to any and all fandoms, pairings (gen, het, slash, and femslash), ratings and genres, so long as your fic complies with the community rules and fits within the Harlequin ‘mold’, which for purposes of this community will be interpreted pretty broadly to include regency, historical romances, romantic mysteries, and even romances with fantasy or sci-fi elements. Nora Roberts, anyone? Also, your fic doesn’t have to be completely AU to meet the ‘harlequin’ standard. It is totally possible to ‘harlequinize’ a fic based on canon. Consider The Sentinel or due South. *g* To read the (very simple *g*) rules or to join the community, please go to the community info page. If you have any questions or if you want to submit an idea for one of the challenges, please comment here. Start posting and have fun! | |
