I finally got my Ravelry invite, and am brand new. Which, of course, means I spend most of my free time (other than crocheting) staring at all the wonders of this new website.

I found this beautiful blanket by Kathy Merrick. I see a lot of users have created it, and I looked at the difficulty rating. BUT, I was wondering for some first hand accounts if anyone here has made the babette blanket. I really think it's gorgeous, and love how gypsy it looks. Anyone care to share their experience in making it? Or attempting to make it? I've never made a real blanket before, only a huge afghan of only dc throughout with shell border. That's it. Other than that, I'm a doll maker, lol.

Thanks!!

Like this? Looks COOL!! I couldn't see it being difficult...they're just granny squares of varying sizes.

(the URL led me to the main site - didn't want to register...too many projects already!)
