If you're here on purpose and haven't just accidentally clicked on the wrong thing, then I'm sure you'll agree that Doctor Who is a brilliant show.
The thing is, even the best shows in the universe don't always turn out the way you want them to. Some people accept it, some people go and camp outside their TV studio in protest, some people wear a black arm band for the next year in mourning... whatever you do, we've all got different coping (or not coping, as the case may be) mechanisms.
This comm is designed to be a coping mechanism for you to use as needed.
If DW doesn't go the way you want it and you want to cling to someone in support, this is the right place for you.
1. General clinging, sobbing and over-dramatic "NOOOOOOO"s.
2. Long, complicated and highly involved theories as to why X simply cannot be true.
3. Happy denial fic, picspams, icons or anything else.
1. Every post should be clearly labelled in a neutral tone, outside of the LJ cut what your preferences are (eg: "I firmly believe the Doctor is *not* half human").
2. Also label the nature of the post (eg: ranting/venting, sobbing miserably, meta/fanwank, happy denial).
3. Don't click on things you know are going to piss you off, just looking for a fight. This is a support comm, not a flame war.
4. Be nice to your fellow members, even if you don't completely agree with them.
5. Posts are f'locked for a reason. If you particularly want them to be unlocked (to share meta/fic/picspams with friends who aren't members of the comm, for example), contact the mods first.
6. No posting of f'locked material outside this comm with the intent of causing trouble. Yes, you can link to posts and obviously your own posts are your own, but no quoting other people without their permission regardless of context.
7. LJ cut spoilers. Yes, series 4 is still considered a spoiler. Heck, if you're going to reveal huge, majorly important details from the Classic Series, it would be polite to spoiler cut. And don't use spoilery userpics.
8. Don't link to f'locked stuff in your own LJ. Repost it here, or post it publicly.
9. Write in English, spellcheck, and preview your posts. We don't expect perfection, we just want to be able to understand you.
10. Tag your posts as best you can. The tag list is here. If you want a new tag created, tag your post "!please add tags mods" and leave a note for us so we can see what you want added.
If you see someone breaking the rules, then get in touch with the mods and we will zoom in with our mighty Blunt Implements of Justice and try to resolve the issue with minimal internal bleeding.
Or if someone forgot to spoiler cut, feel free to leave them a quick note - it'll be faster than getting us to do it.
