My previous entry has been confirmed by Yara-san, who made it clear that in the coming KinKi Kids concert MA will be complete ♥
Other than these happy news in his jweb, :O! Yara had a cat? I knew about the snake and the turtle but I did not know he also had a cat~I am still not sure if it's his own cat or something, but there is a small section about a cat warming itself up because it's cooooooooold! Purring on the top of the electric carpet! That sounds so cute~!
"Let's meet at the concert..."
Yara, you're adorable (laugh) We can not meet, but I will be cheering up for you guys. I'm so glad you all three sound so happy about this- I was getting worried.
Also there was some funny thing I wanted to translate but then I didn't really want to (laugh) It's a funny thing about how there was a previous VERY-SECRET album, before the J album.
"This time we're releasing J album simply, but between Phi and J, there was a 角 album"
What's that? Kaku? Sumi? Idek. And then Koichi says "We released it in absolute secrecy!"
I'm bored now. And the dormitory is fixing our bathroom or something and it's right next to my room so it's very loud argh! And I wanted to take a shower, how lame :(. So later.

Achtete mal drauf! Da ist doch was im Busch!

Btw, was mache ich danach mit dem Scheiß?! Aufheben? Wegschmeißen?! Ich will diese Dose nirgendwo aufstellen! XD

| Hanukkah 2009 |
[09 Dec 2009|05:49pm] |
|
The Hanukkah story began in 167 BC, when the Syrian-Greek king Antiochus began his campaign to destroy the religious and ethnic identity of the Jewish people living under his control. His plan of action: to pillage the country and defile the holiest place to the Jewish people -- the Great Temple in Jerusalem -- by setting up a statue of Zeus and ordering pig sacrifices on the altar.
But the edicts only served to reinforce the people's religious conviction. In the village of Modi'in, on the outskirts of Jerusalem, the priest Mattathias, or Matityahu, and his five sons founded the intrepid Maccabee warriors, who liberated Jerusalem in 165 BC.
The first thing the Maccabees did was to scour and rededicate the Great Temple, but when they sought to rekindle the menorah at the sanctuary's entrance, there was just a small cruse of purified olive oil to be found -- enough to burn for a single day. And then, according to legend, a miracle happened -- instead of one day, the holy oil burned for eight days and nights, just enough time to pick and press fresh olives for oil and bring it to Jerusalem. Sometimes the L.A. Times is just plain awesome. ♥ Today's one of these days because they have a food guide for Hanukkah. I am so going to gain weight if we actually manage to make some of it. >_<
Clicking on from that article, I found my favourite Classic potato latkes recipe. My grandma was a pro when it came to these and I truely miss her cooking. Mom's and mine always look like fizzled...
For those who don't know latkes, check out Latkes: The soul of Hanukkah culinary tradition from last year. You are truely missing something out. *nods*
So, even if we don't cook the other stuff, we will make latkes. :D

P.S. So I don't care if vampires sparkle, give me a break and stop pestering me about it!!! I am not bothering you with questions on why you don't like the sparklies now do I? And yes, this is said to you Tiffany and Aaron. Stop shaking your head and commenting on the sparkling vampire when the word twilight passes my mouth, especially when it is not said to you but to someone who actually likes the damn series! I am getting tired of it!*takes a big sigh and starts putting clothes to dry*

1. Preview for ep 18 of IRIS:
I am getting really nervous - Hyun Joon seems to be suspecting Seung Hee - if she is a member of IRIS then I will positively die. NO, please please please.
2. I managed to watch more of Will It Snow for Christmas - so ridiculously good, and written in such a way that I can buy the childhood love foundation because (1) they were high-school age, so more likely to stick in mind and also interacted a lot; (2) both went on to be functional and not just fantasizing about the other every night; (3) most important - their relationship was literally life-changing for her, for spoilery reasons, so it would definitely stick in her memory and also - she's basically the one bright thing in a pretty soul-killing life, for him - no wonder he gloms.
Have a yummy yummy bit:

( Larger )
3. Apparently a new trailer for Slave Hunters/Chuno aired after IRIS which has Dae Gil/Hye Won bits - at last! (My shipping preferences for this drama change like the wind - if they show her with Tae Ha, I ship her with Tae Ha, if they show her with Dae Gil, I ship her with Dae Gil. Maybe they should all get together in one OT3 of angst and hotness. Though considering I am already shipping for a drama which won't air for a month, perhaps the less said about me, the better :P). There is...wait for it...piggybacking! Hopefully he left his sword at home at that time :)
ETA: Here it is. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG (((Hye Won)))
4. Because I couldn't get Snow Xmas to work last night, I ended up watching eps 4 and 5 of Innocent Love and much fun was had by all - girlfriend-in-a-coma Junya, beginning-to-remember-she-was-molested Kanon, homicidal-maniac Brother, serial-killer-eyes Choir Girl, euthanisia-happy Subaru, etc.

( Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiip - I defy you not to ship them )
5. And now for the ridiculous: apparently Lee Byung Hun is being slapped with a breach of promise lawsuit by a Canadian woman. Article on Dramabeans. Long story short: LBH dated some Canadian girl, and now she alleges he "lured" her to Korea by promises of marriage but once she moved, stuck her in a house in Seoul and didn't visit her much. I only have three thoughts on this (1) if this is true, all that makes him is a bad boyfriend and, arguably, a jerk (I wouldn't even go that far - people get bored in relationships all the time and walk out). If you could sue a guy for being a jerk, the judicial system would break from overload and die; (2) Bwaahahahahaha - that's subject to a lawsuit???? I thought breaches of promise actions died with Queen Victoria; and (3) Oh, LBH, why on earth do you even need to sweet-talk? I am pretty sure there are scores of attractive ladies who'd be happy to get together with you in exchange for a promise - a promise of a one-night stand :D
6. My Kindle seems to have died :( I need it! I don't post about books much on here because I talk about them elsewhere, but I've been powering through early P.G. Wodehouse (British humorist-novelist and my favorite writer) and I need my fix. I am in the minority where I prefer early Wodehouse to his 'mature' work - the style in his later work gets even more polished and perfect but his earlier books have emotion, and I like that. Can anyone imagine Bertie Wooster with a heart? I am especially in love with "Jill the Reckless" (Jill is awesome, and Wally = love, plus there is all that stuff about play-making and production which PGW knew intimately) but The Intrusion of Jimmy is also a ridiculous delight.
7. crumpeteer's picspam inspired me to check out SyFy's Alice. I liked Tin Man and I generally like riffs on classics. That reminds me, must give "The Looking Glass Wars" a look.

there's a very shitty photo from my front door of the outside world early at 7 this morning. my mother woke me up so i could move my car so that my dad could get to work. i go outside, and it's a freakin' winter wonderland. =|
i was starting to wonder when the first winter storm would come. i am mixed happy, and annoyed with the arrival of snow. happy cause, its really not christmas w/out the snow. and annoyed because, it was so early in the morning, and the snow hadn't been shoveled or plowed yet, so i could barely get the car moving =S mah, once everything's cleared up it should be fine. but please stop snowing for now. i have work later tonight, and i'd like the roads cleared up before i leave. driving in the snow makes me totally nervous.

Ok, awesome video!!! http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1923605
I am doing laundry again but atleast this time I know it will be done really fast. I am also, once again, sitting on the floor. I am making the hanging out on the floor thing a permenant thing. I it is all nice and warm here.
I have a bad headache. Today was supposed to be my easiest day and instead I am sooo tired and it was sooo long and horrible. I am also dreading tomorrow since we have a meeting during which one of my co-workers is going to bring up an issue that is bothering him bad and that will most likely make the meeting 2 fucking hours long with both of them(him and the boss) yelling at eachother. And then she will most likely try to ask me my opinion and I don't want to get involved since I agree with the co-worker but I also don't want to loose my job and want to get a good rec letter.
I don't have any plans for this week, which is kinda weird for me since I have been here. Not a big deal really. I am getting payed on the 15th and since I am apparently not going to Seoul on new years' I have decided I am going to buy myself a b-day gift. I want an IPod and an 8 gig one is $229 so maybe for about $400 I can get a much better one. They are awesome and I want one bad. It is either that or buy a tv and I think I will just deal with no tv until next year when I get my own appartment and tv there. Until then I can save my money, except for the Ipod, and buy a nice laptop next x-mass...I am thinking of paying about $3000 for the laptop I want. It will be awesome. I will have to get it shipped to my mom, since it will be free to there and then get her to ship it here. And no, I am SO not getting a laptop here. I have learned my lesson buying computers from actual stores-bad idea.
I am going to game a litte tonight I think...I have some writing I need move from my notebook to the laptop but I am not sure I wanna deal with it now. It strikes me as a job that needs to be done on the weekends since once I start I get in the mood and can go on for hours...since I have nothing specific planned with anyone this weekend, maybe that is what I will do. The damn thing is not going to write itself!!
I got Aaron addicted to Eureka but season 4 hasn't come out yet so I am sad. I still have the episode of Merlin from last weekend to watch but I don't feel like it now and if nothing else I can watch it on Sat and then watch the new one on sunday when it comes out(sometimes it sucks being a day ahead of the rest of the damn world).
I am still waiting on Bonnie to get her ass online but I guess I will be waiting for a while...damn!
p.s. for some besire reason my ankle is killing me...

Hollydays Highlights include: claiming my first free drink from easyway, learning kanji at good old UTS library and procuring a mystery box, uncovering the truth behind the mystery box, seeing New Moon and sharing the love seat with Sujee, being refused the kid's meal, seeing the China Town night markets, getting ice cream at Circular Quay, going to Cold Rock near Riverside, Formal dress shopping, getting sticker photos, seeing Happy Family Plan from so far back that people's heads were completely covering the subtitles, taking a suit for drycleaning along a strange and mysterious bus route, going to Guildford League's, going to P.J.Gallagher's, playing the pokies there, waiting for Sujee to close up at Woolworths, playing pool, doing online L's tests, not being bothered to take the real test, naming the cockatiels in pet stores, eating sickeningly overpriced treats at Nut'n'Fancy, buying 12m of embroidery lace from closing down $2 stores, buying supplies to screw the rules (ie. green hair), playing the drum game and skilltesters, looking for another mystery box, getting inferior icy treats from market city, picking out office furniture and lugging a bonsai around, buying a fabulous kokeshi bag, eating numerous fillets boxes, a picnic with fabulous brownies and chocolate strawberries, a nature hike, a midnight screening of Bobobo bo Bo-bobo, Guitar Hero World Tour, a viking extravanganza in honour of Lief Eriksson day with papier mache helmets, gold coins galore, an advent calendar and a glorious roast, burning a cake (and almost a table), watching Marine Boy (and everything else on GO!), discussing plans of action with 7 different people and not going through with any of them, catching the Loop and the Free CBD bus more times than I can count, finishing at least 10 novels, beating my Rubik's cube best time, playing Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, frolicking about Toys R Us, getting lost in JB-HiFi, shoe-shopping, looking for an ocarina at the music store, re-watching almost every episode of The Office, going mad waiting for Blazblue Continuum Shift (follow-up to THE perfect fighting game), driving around looking at Christmas lights, getting exploited by those ice-cream trucks that park near the most extravagantly done-up houses, singing along to Disney classics in the car so loudly that other drivers stare when stopped at the red lights, working on my 2nd novel, watching sped up episodes of Spongebob on youtube, debating whether the touch lamp's erratic behaviour is due to ghosts or just poor cicuitry, and the rest probably don't count as highlights - that, or I don't remember them...I should've started this list earlier- it all feels like ancient history already! =D

The rules are that for 8 days you have to post something that made you happy that day.
सप्त! Finished up House of Leaves, so now I can properly gush about it. Spent far too much time reading about it on tvtropes, then lent it to my sister so she can become slightly paranoid and we can chat about it. :D
八! CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS! Followed by Prep and Landing which was super cute, I thought.
Oh, and because clearly all my happiness these past eight days has come from books, food, and recklessly spending money: I bought a tokidoki bag for fourteen bucks today. SCORE.
I fail at joy.
AND DONE. END MEME.
In non meme-news, I am questioning why I was actually celebrating getting early hours this week. Nothing beats out closing at midnight in the suck department, but these 6:45 and 7:45 start times suck major balls. I'm exhausted and feel fairly zombie-like. I love Christmas, but I could do without this. :|
ALSO it has been freezing. This morning my car told me it was 35 degrees. THE MOUNTAINS HAD SNOW! Epic. Horribly cold, but epic. I will be so disappointed if it heats up soon.

... Kuroshitsuji Musical! YAY!
I was really looking forward to this DVD and its really nice to see all the familiar faces again. Somehow, the atmosphere of a musical DVD is still totally different from everything else and I kind of missed this.
So far I did just skip through the interviews and backstages, but I already felt in love with the actor for Sebastian. X'D He's funny, he's smart, he's goodlookin AND he has an AWESOME female voice. And his intro-dance did look way too funny, even though I'm 100% sure they didn't plan to trigger such a reaction X'D
I already ended up on the floor laughing out loud when dear Shougo sang his very first line, which goes: "I can't take that much stupidity, I'm returning to my roooo~m..!" With a totally serious expression and in a very dramatic way X'DDDDDDDDDDDDD (Yup, he's already pissed of his three stupid house-helpers. X'DDDDDDDD)
HOW AM I SUPPOSED NOTTO CRACK UP HERE, I'M ASKING! XD If this it not going to be hilarious....!
PS: CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF TAKUYA BECAUSE HE LOOKS SOOOO AWESOME WITH RED HAIR AND THOSE GLASSES!!! XD

Tonight's one of those bright winter nights out with only the wind knocking at the door and the constant sounds of drips off the gutters reminding you it's storming out. Had a weird thing with the power going out several times tonight not too sure why. Took a peak into the box and these Build-A-Bear pooches are cute! Got all my fabric prepped for cutting tomorrow only once reviewing the pattern again online I see I'm going to need more fabric to complete the striped sections in some sorta neutral shade or something unless I get creative in design and work that coffee bean print more into it. Ugh I can't believe I forgot there was strips worked into this now my whole concept has to be reworked in my head. Didn't see Mac tonight but he sent me a cryptic email disclosing him and Danny had a conversation. I'm not sure how to handle or take that for Danny and Mac both know two different universes of me and if those two worlds ever come together I fear I might have to leave this earth lol. Maybe if I bury my head in the snow and pretend I'm a winter high-breed of ostrich maybe they both won't notice me...

| Yuen Wo Ping eyes Kaneshiro Takeshi and Zhou Xun for a remake of a Jin Yong wuxia novel |
[09 Dec 2009|01:14pm] |
|
I'm so looking forward to this remake!!^o^
Kaneshiro Takeshi and Zhou Xun in "Perhaps Love" promo
Renowned director and action choreographer Yuen Woo-ping is busy trying hard to raise S$40million to shoot the wuxia remake of The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, plus cast his dream team of actors in including actor Takeshi Kaneshiro as Linghu Chong, actress Zhou Xun as Ren Yingying, and singer Jay Chou as Dongfang Bubai. The new remake of the classic novel by Louis Cha is slated to begin filming at the start of 2010 after the Lunar New Year festivities. In the meantime, Yuen does not plan to accept any other directing jobs in order to concentrate wholly in producing the series.
Yuen has expressed that 36-year-old Kaneshiro best fits the role of the lead character, Linghu Chong. Both parties are currently engaged in talks and if the actor agrees, Yuen plans to send him to Beijing for martial arts training sessions. As the show concentrates heavily on martial arts, Yuen hopes that the main actors will receive martial arts training before filming begins to present a more lifelike portrayal of the story.
He also has plans to invite Chinese actress, Zhou Xun, to take up the female lead role as Ren Yingying. He was so impressed by her acting chops and gracefulness in his previous collaboration with her, True Legend, and decided to work with her again.
As both Kaneshiro and Zhou previously collaborated as lovers in the movie, Perhaps Love, he feels that they have enough tacit understanding of each other to bring out the best of their lovebirds characters onscreen.
Apart from these, Yuen hopes that Jay Chou will take on the last remaining lead role as Dongfang Bubai in the show. The chance of Yuen gaining a nod of agreement from Jay lies relatively high as the latter is in awe and respect of the director. The Taiwanese performer also previously agreed to guest star in Yuen’s movie, True Legend.
source: http://www.mediacorptv.sg/en/buzzdetail/EDC091124-0000228
Chinese media reports that action director Yuen Woo-ping has signed up with Chinese video game publisher Beijing Perfect World to direct a new, 200 million yuan ($29 million) feature film adaptation of Louis Cha’s wuxia novel “The Smiling, Proud Wanderer.” The translated title is tentatively called NEW SWORDSMAN. Cha’s serialized novel first appeared in Hong Kong newspaper “Ming Pao” in 1967. It was first adapted into the Shaw Brothers film THE PROUD YOUTH (1978) and later by Tsui Hark in his blockbuster SWORDSMAN trilogy that includes THE SWORDSMAN (1991), SWORDSMAN II (1992) and THE EAST IS RED (1993).
No casting has been confirmed but Yuen reportedly wants Takeshi Kaneshiro for the lead role of Linghu Chong (previously played by Jet Li in SWORDSMAN II), Zhou Xun as Ren Ying-ying (previously Rosamond Kwan) and Jay Chou as Dongfang Bubai, also known as Asia the Invincible (previously Brigitte Lin).
Like most of Cha’s stories, the plot is complicated so I’ll just quote Wu-Jing.org’s translation so as not to muddle up the story any more than it already is.
Described as a unique all-new wuxia film with radical visuals, the story traces Linghu Chong’s exploits when he gets accused and expelled by his master for stealing Lin family’s Bixie Swordplay Manual after mastering Lonesome Nine Sword Techniques, a peerless form of fencing that counters any other skills by means of spotting and striking at opponents’ vulnerabilities, that a reclusive Huashan elder Feng Qing Yang imparted to him in secret.
Founded in 2004, Beijing Perfect World is best known as the publisher of a series of popular MMORPGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games) including their first title PERFECT WORLD and JADE DYNASTY, a fantasy MMO released in North America back in June. The company began producing feature films and TV dramas in 2009 with the release of series NEWCOMERS TO THE MIDDLE-AGED and their first feature film SOPHIE’S REVENGE, starring Zhang Ziyi.
Yuen Woo-ping recently returned to solo feature film directing after a 13-year hiatus where he had stuck to directing action for other filmmakers. That is until this year when he directed the kung fu actioner TRUE LEGEND which is scheduled for release in February, 2010.
Production on NEW SWORDSMAN is scheduled to begin no later than February, 2010.

I love Jin Yong(Louis Cha)'s novels. Xiao Ao Jiang Hu (Smiling Proud Wanderer/State of Divinity) is one of my favorite JY novel (besides LoCH and HSDS). I have the Indonesian-translated novel titled "Pendekar Hina Kelana" ^_^ (udah robek2 dan kuning gitu halaman2nya, bener2 kyk kitab silat XD) I've read it and loved it alot! The hero, Linghu Chong, despite his tragic life, the person himself is very, very humorous. Alot of his lines contains humors. That's why he's my #1 favorite wuxia hero. The heroine, Ren Yingying, is one of my favorite female wuxia character, her innocence, sweetness, yet sometimes viscious/violent character is very intriguing.
I've loved Kaneshiro Takeshi since God-knows-when!!!
Zhou Xun is my #1 favorite Chinese actress. With all her accomplishment, sometimes, I like to think she's the Chinese counterpart of Matsu Takako. ZX is such a highly talented actress yet down-to-earth and she's not interested in having a career in Hollywood because she feels comfortable in China (pretty much like Matsu). Not to mention they had shots with the same guy! LOL.
Kaneshiro Takeshi and Matsu Takako in "K-20" premiere So anyway, I'm soooooooo looking forward to this wuxia remake and I really hope YWP do get agreement from them both! But Jay Chou as the transverstite homosexual Dongfang Bubai is a bit "Huh?" for me.
Li Yapeng, Zhou Xun's ex-boyfriend, who was also her co-star in LoCH2003, has acted Linghu Chong in Xiao Ao Jiang Hu Mainland 2001. I'm a Li Yapeng - Zhou Xun shipper. So its kind of a quirky coincidence for me, if Zhou Xun really going to play Ren Yingying^^
I find it strange that they would announce the UN-confirmed casts though. Things like this would never be release as official news in Japan. If it has not been confirmed yet, usually this stuff would go to the rumor section in Japan.
Just recently I also realized that in Mainland China TV series production, even after that certain actor has been casted/announced to play a certain role in the official press conference, even with that actor attending the presscon, there could be a last-minute replacement just because the director think the replacement is more fitting for the role. Although it is usually happen for supporting roles and never the main roles, but still I find it strange and unfair. In Japan, once the casts attend the presscon, there's no way they'd replace any of them, except if they get sick or not able to continue filming.
Well, anyway... even if its not Kaneshiro and ZX in the end, I'd still be looking forward to this remake, as long as the casts are good!^^

soo umm, the Sorry, Sorry Answer i likes =D
one gripe with it is that they changed up everything but the chorus. leaving the chorus as is sounds so wrong. it's so out of place with the rest of the new sound. like, they were trying to remake the song, and almost finished it, but got too lazy to think of a new hook for the chorus =S ahh well, apart from that, i likes =D Kyu Hyunnie... oh how i've mixed your smex voice =P
and... i feel a John Mayer review post coming up. i still haven't had a change to listen to the full album, but i've already found mt fav song of the album and feeling an urge to spaz. tomorrow perhaps. i have me some Harry Potter to watch tonight.
