Basic Info AboutThis community is for JOB POSTINGS. Job wanted ads will be deleted. Helpful suggestions on job finding are appreciated!
I get lots of forwards about cool jobs. I bet some of you do, too. Let's paste them up here so our friends and family get a crack at 'em.
What's a cool job?
Well, it probably doesn't pay minimum wage. Involves interesting work, or an interesting organisation. Possibly has something to do with the arts, the environment, activism, volunteerism, or research. You know, one of those positions where you think, "I'd do this myself, if only..."
Where can they be?
Well, I'd prefer to limit it to Nova Scotia, but if there's something super fantabulous in the maritimes or a golden overseas opportunity that NSers would be interested in, that's cool too.
How do they get posted?
You can email me jobs (poppiesinlove@yahoo.ca) or post 'em yourself. Please post the job title in the subject line and put the bulk of the entry behind an lj-cut. Again, if you run across a good job and you don't want to keep it for yourself, post it up! Job searching is hard enough as it is; we need all the help we can get.
Where else could I look for jobs?
I listed just about every site I could think of here. If you love or hate a site, comment and let me know!

P.S. About me: I moved back to Halifax about a year ago. I've worked a lot of strange and wonderful jobs in my time. Right now I'm gainfully employed at Dalhousie doing health research stuff, but I feel your pain.
