gyllenstills is a weekly non-animated icon contest community for Jake & Maggie Gyllenhaal & any characters they've portrayed. Each week one blank or full size photo will be posted. Community members will make an icon from that blank and the top 3 will be voted on. All submissions are done through comments, so I'm the only one who will have posting access.Thanks to

1. Your submissions cannot be animated, and they must fit LJ's icon standards: 100x100 or smaller, 40kb or smaller, gif/jpg/png formats only.
2. You must be a member of the community to enter, however all entries are screened for anonymous voting, so do not post or use your icon anywhere until the contest is over.
3. You can only use the images given to you. No blending of images, please. However, brushes, borders, text, color, etc., are allowed unless stated in a specific challenge.
4. Your entry must be original. You are not allowed to use a base that someone else has cropped. Nor are you allowed to use an icon that you've made previous to the challenge.
5. You may submit two icons per challenge, using two of the four provided pictures. You can not enter two icons made from one picture.
6. If you would like to use any of the icons posted for the contest, please get the creator's permission first, and follow any additional rules they may have for crediting.
Submissions
1. At the beginning of each contest I will make a post where you can reply with your entry. Comments will be screened so the only people who can see your submission are you and me.
2. You will need a host, such as Photobucket, that allows remote linking. Geocities/angelfire/tripod won't work. If I can't see your icon, it won't be included.
3. When responding with your submission, all entries must go in ONE comment. Also, please label whether it is a regular challenge icon or a theme challenge icon, and include the img src and url versions like this:

Friday, midnight PST: Submission deadline, voting begins
Saturday: Next challenge posted
Sunday, 8:00 pm PST: Voting ends, winners posted
Voting
1. You don't have to be a member of the community to vote, but anonymous votes will not be counted.
2. Do not vote for yourself or your icon will be disqualified.
3. Do not ask other people to vote for you. It defeats the purpose of anonymous entries.
4. All votes will be screened.
5. One mod's choice icon will be chosen each week, unless there aren't enough entries received.
If you don't like the non-animation rule there are many wonderful icon contests that do accept animated icons.
