This community is a fanfic/fanart exchange community for the Gyakuten Saiban / Ace Attorney video game series, much like the other fandom exchange communities around Livejournal.Like the video game series? | SETUP |
| Specific rules may apply to each exchange, such as restrictions of themes etc. But for now, here's a general rules list to help you get a feel for how this works. Stage 1: Sign Ups The exchange moderator will put up a post detailing the conditions for the exchange and a sign-up form to be completed and posted in a comment by all those wishing to participate. All those who enter will be expected to make a gift, but of course all those who enter will also receive a gift. It works both ways! There will be a clear deadline for sign-ups and a reminder or two for those who didn't catch it before. Stage 2: Backup Sign Ups Sometimes circumstances arise that are beyond our control. For some reason or another, a participant may become uncontactable, or may be unable to produce a gift. In this case, we still want to make sure that their assignee will still receive something, so this is where the backup comes in. Backup sign ups will be put up and run by a moderator. Backups will need to be available at short notice to produce a gift for someone in a short time. Stage 3: Gift-Making When all of the sign ups are done, each person will be matched to someone depending on what they are willing/unwilling to produce. They then go back to the original sign-up post, find their assignee, read their requests, choose one and get working! There will then be a long period of around a month or so for people to complete their gifts for their partners. In this time, there will be the odd reminder post, and of course mods will always be contactable should any problems arise. Stage 4: Gift Swap When the deadline passes, posting to the community will be opened for people to post their gifts. Much fun is had by all! ♥ |
| COMMUNITY RULES |
1) Yaoi, Yuri and Het in any form are accepted. All that we ask is that you clearly label items with appropriate ratings. 2) As of September 2007, Gyakuten Saiban 3 / Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Trials and Tribulations has not been released in the US/Europe. If anything is a spoiler for this game, please be considerate and label your works for spoilers accordingly. The same goes for Gyakuten Saiban 4, which has currently not been released in any English format. 3) We at gyakusai_swap will try our best to match you with somebody who you are compatible with. Generally, in the sign up forms there will be a choice of prompts for you to fulfill so please try your best to be flexible. If there is a serious issue with the requests that you have been asked to fulfill, then please feel free to contact a moderator.4) In a similar vein, please be flexible with your requests! Understand that people may be writing or drawing something out of their usual realm, so be open enough in your request to allow for that, but also be specific enough to provide a proper prompt for inspiration. 5) Fanfiction entries must be over 500 words. This could take the form of one longer fic, or a series of drabbles. Fanart entries must be more than very basic line art. Try your best to produce something that you would be happy to receive yourself! 6) Be nice! We've all worked hard to make the exchange work and in turn, people have tried their hardest to produce gifts. Flaming is highly disapproved of and any nasty events that do not come to a peaceful resolution may result in the offending parties being banned from the next exchange. 7) You do not have to be a member to read the works, but you must be a member of the community in order to participate. Members will only be given posting access if they have entered an exchange, and will be granted posting access at the appropriate time. 8) Works must be new for gyakusai_swap. No recycling of fanwork that has been posted elsewhere. After the exchange is over, you are more than welcome to post your work in other places, but while the exchange is going, please keep your gift exclusive to gyakusai_swap |
