sunhawk16's challenge: Embrace Your Favorite Cliché Month. The challenge was held September 2005. See her post for details and check the memories for the fics.
This community was also created as a safe haven for those of us in the Gundam Wing fandom who like, even revel in, so-called fandom "clichés" -- and who are tired of feeling ashamed for doing so. Do you like your Duo on the femmy side? Love reading/writing hurt/comfort fics? Like sinking your teeth into a juicy RFO fic? Does the phrase "little one" not send you into spasms of outrage? This is the place for you.
The purpose of this community to write/post/discuss your favorite fandom clichés without shame. You know you love them, and now you're not alone.
The Rules
1. No flaming. Period. Not everyone will like everything that gets written for this community. There may be character bashing, evil!gboys, and death. Please just skip what you don't like.
2. Label your fics with appropriate warnings and pairings! This is so those that don't care for the pairing or subject matter can skip them. Topics that MUST be labled: deathfics, NCS, lemons. Surprise pairings are allowed, but only if you leave your readers an out -- providing the pairing under a cut for example. You must use the standard pairing notation (1x2, 3x4, etc.) to indicate who "tops" for those who have seme/uke preferences.
Examples:
1+2 = Heero likes/loves Duo; non-sexual
2+1 = Duo likes/loves Heero; non-sexual
1+2+1 = They like each other, can be interchangeable with 2+1+2 (depending on who approaches whom)
1x2 = Heero tops; sexual
2x1 = Duo tops; sexual
1x2x1 or 2x1x2 = They switch off, the first number indicating who the aggressor is.
3. Please post all fics under an LJ cut. If you'd like to also label your fic with the cliché you are using, go right ahead.
For the admin's sanity, please use the following format in the subject line of fic posts:
cliche/challenge - pairing - author -title
This will make it easier to file fics and art in the memories section. Thanks! ^_^
4. This is an open membership community. If we start having problems with spam, the membership will become moderated. Please don't let that discourage you from joining. Someone will approve you within 24 hours.
5. Have fun. Let your ideas flow wild and free. Don't be afraid to write that fic you've always wanted to write!
These rules may be added to as needed in the future.
Remember, the first challenge begins in September. Afterwards, we may have monthly challenges based on a central "clichéd" theme. Let's have some fun without feeling the shame for liking what we want to like!
