AboutSometimes a reader/writer craves a lighter, sweeter fare. That's what this community is all about! Fluff and WAFF are the order of the day here! If this is not to your taste, you may want to choose a different bakery to visit!
Rules
1. Fluff fics only. There can be a wee bit of angst, but we’re looking for sweet heartwarming stuff here. Since we want to be happy after reading, angst has to be resolved. Escapism at its best! If you do have that wee bit o’angst- then you need to warn. Deathfics won’t not work here- unless they are the fluffy kind!! NCSfics, darkfics, angstfests will not work here either- please save those for your own LJ or a different community.
Just in case it’s needed for clarifying purposes:
Fluff / fluffy – (adj) soft and light, (v) to puff up with air or light.
Waff / waffy – Warm and Fluffy Feeling: Fluff combined with just enough sap to make you say awww.
Porn / Smut / PWP – sex and sexual situations, with and without supporting situations. Generally, it is the act of sex portrayed and not the emotion behind the sex shown.
There is a difference between porn (et al) and fluff/waff. Stories and pictures relaying feelings of warmth and that spontaneous ‘awww’ are most welcome and encouraged. Stories and pictures depicting sex and sex only are best posted elsewhere.
That does not mean a story cannot have sex or sexual situations, or a picture cannot show hints of intimacy, because some of the best emotions leading to waff are spurred by depictions of sexual love. What the mods of this community are trying to say in the nicest way possible is, smut and porn have their places. A community devoted to invoking warm, sappy emotions is not that place.
2. Fluffy, warm happy fic recommendations are welcome. Feel free to rec fics- but again- we’re looking for happy endings and heartwarming fluff there too!
3. We will welcome any gundam pairing be it yaoi, yuri or het- and we will not welcome anti-pairing comments.
4. Flames are not allowed. Period. Concrit is encouraged- but please remember that most crit is opinion and needs to be treated as such. Something you may consider OOC may not be considered the same way by someone else.
5. Fics must be self-contained. Series are welcome as long as each part is self-contained. No multi-parters please.
6. New!! Artwork is now allowed to be posted. Please keep in mind that FLUFF is the name of this game. If you are planning to post a picture, it must go behind a cut (no matter how small) and it must be sweet, heartwarming, or cute in some way. And while there's nothing like a good hot sexy piece of art *fans self*, it's not necessarily considered 'Fluff'. Please be discretionary or the mods will have to be.
7. No off-topic posts of any kind- please stick to recs and fics.
8. The mods will decide when someone has broken the rules and will deal with them accordingly. Please leave those decisions and debates to us. As much as we'd hate to, we will ban an abuser of the rules if they choose to disregard them.
