"You really do love him, don't you?" Soft words whispered in his ear, almost a hint of wonderment and it was all Duo could do to keep from biting out something that wouldn't help the situation. Something like, no shit, moron, what clued you in?

Lots of moments to choose from, really, some of them pretty recent. Could've been the part where Duo risked everything to save him. Could've been the moment he pulled in every favor he had and a few he didn't, just because a galaxy without Heero Yuy was not one he wanted to set up housing in. Could've been. Maybe.

Duo knew he was a fool and he'd admit it to anyone with a smile and a wink but he wasn't a liar, not even to himself, and the terror he'd felt, the pure blackness that gutted him when he'd heard Heero was missing couldn't be explained away very well as just concern for a teammate. And he sure as hell wouldn't be picking up a few old habits just for that.

Fingernails scraped lightly down his back, bare skin prickling and it wasn't lust but betrayal that made him sweat, utterly tangible in the way he couldn't help standing, stiff and uncomfortable, forcing his hands to not cover his nudity.

He was used to being a whore but not like this.

Worse, oh, so worse, was the fact that he was hard. Of course he was, he was a teenager. If need be he could probably dry hump a park bench while people fed the pigeons next to him. So it shouldn't humiliate him, not even when fingertips grazed the tip and his cock leapt happily at the touch. Shouldn't embarrass him at all, except for the fact that it did.

"You love him," Silky as a dream, cool and calm. "But it's my turn tonight, isn't it?" Merciless, fucking bastard and Duo nodded, swallowing hard on words that burned down his throat like acid.

A warm hand surrounded him, the touch as delicate and unpitying as a taunt, and where exactly did Chang learn that? What exactly changed a ruthless Gundam pilot into...something else? He didn't know but he was pretty damned sure he was going to find out, some of it anyway. He was going to bend over and give Chang everything he asked for, just for tonight.

So long as Chang kept his fucking mouth shut. So long as no one ever heard exactly how he'd managed to barter for Heero's life and who had been the one who'd had him kidnapped in the first place. So long as Heero remained as oblivious to it all as he was to anything, and maybe, God, maybe someday he would look up and actually see that someone was waiting, patiently if not quietly, for him to just notice, maybe, maybe, a world and a half overflowing with possibility and all of it hinged on the ability of two people to keep quiet.

Another hand slid into his hair and clenched, none-too-gently in the long strands. "My turn. On your knees, Maxwell."

And as he went, Duo thought that keeping silent about this wasn't going to be that difficult, after all.
