In honor of the announcement of our series' first Perfect Grade, let's talk about mecha!

I have to say that prior to Gundam 00, I don't really care for mecha. The only mecha anime I like was Patlabor, and even then I enjoy the cop drama aspect more than the mecha aspect. I still can't put a finger on why I started to notice and like the 00 mechs, but Exia's sexy design and knife-fighting moves (I'm with Ali here: Melee is the best type of fight!) as well as kit modellers who build things like these are part of the reason.

Also, what's everyone's favourite fights? I have to review all Exia's fights to pick a favourite one from S1, but in S2 it's a toss between Cherudim x Gaddess and Exia R2 x 0-Gundam.

If all goes according to plan, fics and art will start being posted in just a few weeks for the Gundam 00 Summer Exchange.

Now, I want to know what you guys want, in terms of posting. I could make another journal/comm specifically for the exchange, and post all the stories there, with a post made to gundam00 every day with what goes up, or every week with a summary of what's been posted so far.

If I post it directly here, you can expect a fair increase in traffic over the comm for the month of August, so I guess this is just a question of how much spam you're willing to put up with! Some of the fics might need to be posted in multiple posts, for example.

Well, anyway. Post them here, or post them there. :) That's what this poll is for.

So, first off, with Otakon coming up in less than a week, I'm completely pumped for some Gundam 00 cosplay! For those of you attending, there are two Gundam (all series, though I expect Gundam 00 will be the vast majority) photoshoots - 3:30 on Friday, 5:30 on Saturday, both by the indoor fountains. I would also be game for organizing a community/general Gundam 00 meet up, if anyone is interested! I love to meet other Gundam 00 fans. Please comment here if you are, I will edit this with the time and location if something comes up!

At Anime Next a few weekends ago, my fiance and I wore mostly 00 cosplay. I figured I'd share a few of our pics. I'll hopefully have more after Otakon, particularly since I feel like some costumes we just didn't get good shots of. Our costumes aren't zomg perfect, but we always have a blast doing it! Hope you enjoy some of our silliness. Beware if you are offended by Graham/Setsuna (lol crossseasons) Lyle/Feldt, and some animated Setsuna smack down gifs.

We'll also have A-Law's Revive and Mr. Bushido, as well as UC Gundam's Haman and Char. Please feel free to stop us and say hello!

Finally, on a previous thread that is now screened, I promised to upload the doujinshi that this not quite safe for work image came from. (Well, you could just tell your boss Haro is getting ready to play wiffle ball...) It is VERY not safe for work, extremely hardcore, and personally not really my cup of tea, but I keep it around for the Haro shockvalue lulz. I don't recommend it unless you're a) into hardcore stuff or b) able to laugh at hardcore stuff. Pairings include Wang Liu Mei x Hong Long (This came out before we knew they were related) and Feldt x Haro while imagining Neil (I think?) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Sorry if this isn't allowed. I've shared my Gundam 00 plushie commissions on the comm before, specifically Tieria, Regene, Feldt, and Lyle.

I just wanted to let anyone know that I am accepting commissions until September 1st. All commission requests and payments must be received by September 1st.  I start university in late September so I'm setting that deadline to give me time to finish requests.

Hi everyone. I was just wondering... Does the Special Edition of Gundam 00 just come in a box with the DVD + manga, and the DVD looks exactly the same as the RE? Or does it have a different cover?

I've watched most of the series on youtube and I really would like to have it on dvd. I want to buy the boxset cheaply but I definitely do not want bootleg. Anyway, please give me merchant site recommendations?

EDIT: My computer won't allow lists at the moment so search engines are kind of out of the question. Besides my search for Gundam 00 boxsets listed several top sites that had them for sale at 16.00...yeah. I didn't even have to check to see if they were region free or had Chinese translations to know fakes.
