RULES

1. Please, before you post your own work, critique at least one other post (recent or old)

2. PLEASE POST ONLY ORIGINIAL WORK. there are plenty of communities for posting poems written by others. creative responses/poems/fiction/songs/etc. inspired by other writers/musicians is PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE. basically, you need to open that vein of yours and sprinkle a pint or eight into whatever you post.

3. Constructive criticism please, we are here to help, collaborate and encourage, NOT to gain self esteem through deliberately hurtful/sarcastic comments. Keep this in mind when working on suggestions.

4. Spread the word(s)! This community is based on respect, integrity, and love - the more members, the better.

5. No spam/promos for communities/anything of that sort. exceptions will be granted only if you email the moderator.

6. Please comment on as much work as you are able, as this community can only survive if we support one another.

7. You may post up to 2 times per week, however, with the second post (and this is only if the second post is within the same week), you must critique everything that has been posted since your last post. This will further promote our philosophies (community, respect, integrity).

8. You may post revisions of poems. To do this, post the revised poem as usual. The older version should then be placed beneath a livejournal cut (so we can compare). This policy should be followed even if the orginal is still on the first page of our community

9. ALL genres are welcome. Written word(s), song lyrics (or music), ink drawing(s) - it's all fine. Please be aware of the fact that anything you post will be critiqued.

10. Please do not link to your personal journals; post within the space of the community. Thank you!

Please Follow these Guidelines:

Fiction: No more than 1,500 words (double-spaced) per post.
Poetry: No more than 4 pages.
Artwork: Please place behind a cut.




Important Note:
Only Two posts per day will be allowed. We want to ensure the workload (for critiquing) is manageable and not at all overwhelming. As this community expands, the policy/number will be reviewed. Thanks!
