I've put my returned card for the TOPPS star wars clone wars widevision up on ebay!
...and... it's blank! the winner of the auction will get the card drawn CUSTOM just for them :) i thought i'd try something different this time and let the collector pick what i draw this time around.

there's a new set of TOPPS Star Wars trading cards on the horizon and, like usual, i'm on board for some sketch cards.
these cards are different, as they are a weird, "wide screen format" size... i think they'll be fun :)
i'm only doing 25 of them. that's it. 25.
each one of these 25 cards will be a full color scene card. no head shots, no repeats... just good ol' nerdy fun. TOPPS liked how rare and super cute my Galaxy 4 cards were, so we're going to make my cards a fun, rare chase card :)
i'm also getting 2 return cards, but please, do not e-mail me about them. i will be selling them via e-bay. with only 2 cards, i don't want to make promises to only 2 collectors and leave out everyone else.
i have no idea when the spiderman set i just wrapped up is going to come out, but a few of my 50 cards for that are *priceless*. i can't wait to post them.

so a few months ago, i was asked if i wanted to do the art for the Star Wars varient cover for Non-Sport Update Magazine. (http://www.nonsportupdate.com/ a magazine about non-sport trading card collecting)
this star wars varient is a charity issue, with $1 from every purchase going to the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation (a charity that buys toys for children with cancer).

my 197 ( i got three rejected) sketch cards for Ritternhouse Archive's "X-Men Archives" trading card set that was released today.
Most of the Rittenhouse sets I've done to date (sans the Woverine set i also did recently) have been in a normal "comic book" style.... so i REALLY wanted to approach these with the "cute" style and have some fun. the colors are more vibrant in person and some of them (like the dazzlers, gambits, icemans, etc) have GLITTER on them. ha!

so i finished up putting together my 2009 convention sketchbooks! they're on their way to the printer.
they will be available starting at the san diego comic con next month. there are TWO different books (just like last year)... the edition with my regular and cute work and one that's more pin-up, curvy girly work. i will NOT be taking orders before san deigo, as i'm doing a limited run of 200 of each. i will then take the remaining books to Wizard World Chicago. any books left after wizard world chicago will then be available online.
they will be available for $10 each at the show, so start saving yer' pennies ;)
i even left a fancy-pants area in the front for me to sign it ;P
