NO MORE EMAILS!

Again, Everyone was removed. Right now we're inviting people who contributed content to the community. This process takes some time as LJ will only allow us to send out a limited amount of invitations.
Once we have all those people back we will be making a post detailing our new membership criteria. Until we have all that sorted, NO MORE EMAILS, NO MORE COMMENTS ASKING WHEN WILL WE BE BACK.

We are working as fast as we can to get this fixed. We wouldn't have to do this if some of you didnt decide to mess it up for everyone else.

We will update as often as we can with our progress.
Thanks for your patience and understanding as we try to get back on our feet.

When you email any of the mods here please email us at lj.greys@gmail.com this is your sure fire way to get your questions answered. If you receive an automated message from LiveJournal telling you to contact the mods please disregard that message. Contacting the mods directly will result in a ban

Second, if you were rejected please include the following:
Subject: Request Denied
Body: LJ Username: Your LJ name goes here
Did you read Why Was I Rejected? on the profile page? Yes or No
Message: If you have anything else to tell us then please tell us we do read the messages.

For current members please include the following:
Subject: Current Member - Your reason for emailing
LJ Username
Your message to the mods


Please, DO NOT EMAIL US ABOUT THE RECENT MEMBERSHIP CLEANUP! Our reason for our actions are listed on the main profile, Security Reasons. Emails about 'why was I removed' or 'when you be back' will be deleted on site.

If your email does not contain your LJ name then we will delete your email and it won't get answered. Due to the amount of requests per day and emails we receive by following the simple instructions above will help us answer your question quickly and faster than before.

Please keep in mind we have a high volume of both email and membership requests everyday so it will take a while to answer everyone even with six different mods.

Current members - please feel free to ignore this. It's intended only for prospective members.

OK. Most of the people applying for membership have been fantastic, and with their help, we're ironed out a fair few issues. So thank you to all of those wonderful people. This post is not directed at you.

This post is directed at the people who have been continually applying and re-applying and re-applying after being rejected. Seriously, guys, stop it. We are putting a new rule in place - anyone who applies to join and is rejected three times will be banned. Anyone who has already applied more than three times has only one more application remaining before they will be banned.

The criteria for membership is located right there in the Community Profile. It's really not hard to find. If your journal is rejected, read the profile carefully before re-applying( and thank you to the people who actually did this). Check the criteria against your journal. It's not going to make you popular with the maintainers if you email us saying "why was I rejected?" when your journal has no posts, or your profile is blank, or you haven't updated for months, or whatever the reason is.

If you read through the criteria and don't know why your journal was rejected, feel free to email us. Like I said before, mistakes can be made.

But if any of the criteria apply to your journal, fix the problem before re-applying. I can't stress that enough. Your application will be rejected if you do not. If there are multiple problems, fix all of the problems before re-applying. If in doubt, email us and ask.

If there are any extenuating circumstances that apply to you (you have recently changed journals, you have a separate journal for communities, etc) please feel free to email us and explain the situation. We're more than happy to help clear things up.

I'm sorry for how cross I am sounding; the fact of the matter is that I (and the other maintainers) are getting tired of having to spend time rejecting the same members over and over again. We have processed approximately 1500 applications in the last 24 hours, and speed is of the essence. Please help us out here guys, we're trying our best to make this as fast and easy as possible.

The community has recently undergone a member clean-up, during which all members were removed from the community. To rejoin, please click here and follow the instructions. Your journal will be assessed by a maintainer and your request will be approved or denied. Please allow some time for this to happen; we are trying to process requests as quickly as possible.

Firstly, please read the community profile carefully before asking questions - many times, the answer will be there. Never comment at a maintainer's personal journal with any questions or comments; please direct them to the mod email - lj.greys[at]gmail.com (change the "[at]" to @). Thank you for your patience and understanding!

ETA - guys, if you are rejected for membership, please don't just click "join" again immediately. Check the userinfo! Especially, read the part headed "Why Was I Rejected?"
Continually applying without addressing any issues will not get you accepted into the community. It will only annoy the maintainers, and may get you banned, if you try it often enough.

Secondly, I know some mistakes have been made, for which I apologise. Sometimes clicks go astray or the eyes misread things. In any case, if you've checked the "Why Was I Rejected?" list and nothing applies to you, feel free to email and ask, or just apply again.
