AboutI was inspired to create this community by one of my LiveJournal friends who occasionally posts poems by various poets. I realized that I liked having great poetry pop up on my friends page, and that I wanted more of it. Hence, this community.
This community is not the place for your own poetry. It may be great or it may not, but that's not the point. There are numerous other communities devoted to poetry where you can post your own poems and read those of other LiveJournal users. This community is devoted to your favorite poems by other poets, be they lines you've cherished for years or new ones that have just knocked you on your poetry-loving ass.
Come on in and post a poem, why don't ya? And suggest poets that ought to be listed in the interests!
